I'm totally paraphrasing here, but I "enjoyed" this little exchange:

Harpring: "Ginobili is one of the best European players ever."
Brown: "He's from Argentina..."
Harpring: "Yes, he's one of the best Eurppean players ever."
Brown: "Just checking your geography, but you were right about that other thing earlier, so I'll take your word on it."

(for the Taptalk crowd, from @andyblarsen: POR coach Terry Stotts: "They may make mistakes, but the best way for rookies to improve is be on the floor and learn through mistakes.")

"There’s nothing like game experience" -- Ty Corbin, after the Jazz's five key young guys played 30+ minutes each for the first time in the same game.

The fact that those guys finally played together or Ty's self-incriminating quote?

Ty's really on a roll:

From the SL Trib:

The Jazz haven't started the five youngsters together since the preseason, but Corbin said it could happen again. "Probably we will," he said. "Hopefully we'll have an opportunity to do that."

Yeah, Ty, maybe whoever is in charge of setting the lineup will give you that opportunity. WTF is wrong with this guy?

"Hopefully we'll have an opportunity to do that."

I think this a modern-day Faust. Ty sold his soul to have a passable journeyman's career, in exchange for being the worst thing to happen to Xs and Os since Bruce Vilanch got the center spot on Hollywood Squares.

I am proud of the effort and focus. We made some mistakes. We’re playing hard, we just have to get a little better."

-Ty Corbin (About Jazz versus Warriors on Sloan Day)

If we had a real coach, he would be furious and he wouldn't let these things slide. He would have taken the blame for his own damn mistakes and would have said the player's mistakes stem from his own inadequacies! And instead of saying we need to get better, he needs to teach them to play better! Minus the 4 guys who actually showed up (Kanter, Evans, Garrett and Burks), I saw no focus or effort, especially in 4th quarter, the one that really matters.

I just think there was nothing to be proud about in that loss except that were closer to bottom overall!

A few Stats to swallow:

Hayward 8 TO's <--Forget Team USA
Jefferson 2-8 and 1-4 from 3pt <--Forget playing him rest of the year
Hayward 3-10
Burke 2-10 and 0-3 from 3pt <--Forget ROTY

i'm less concerned about trey's 2-10 shooting - everyone can have an off night on offense. but i'm much more concerned about his defense, which looks to be a major problem for him for his entire career, given his physical and athletic limitations.

to put it simply:
curry - 44 points
trey - 4 points.

and curry is only now a first time allstar, to put some perspective for anyone who is saying trey will be an allstar (especially in 3 years...).
