Ironically enough, I talked to Motum before practice this morning and asked him if he had any idea about cuts and if he was nervous. He didn't know when they were coming but seemed pretty confident he had done well.

^Oooo never knew you were an insider of sorts (reporter or work for the jazz..luckyyyyyy) cool

Anyways, crazy I.. thought Dantay Jones contract was partially guaranteed.. one of the big guys is probably going to make it then unless they're planning on grabbing someone off the waiver wire suddenly.

Haha I wish I was, but it was just a right-place-right-time situation.

I think Murry is the only one who is staying. Cooley and Motun are basically Kevin Murphy types. Toure and Felix to me are unlikely that we let them go for anything normal. Cooley and Motum are like the Christmas player from last couple seasons, used for Summer League, Practice Squad and hopefully preseason. Then gone.

Guys get some time like they did, and they get signed, just like Christmas in Phoenix. The little experience can sometimes get people jobs. Diante Garrett is with Blazers, just like Christmas got an opportunity.

Knicks signed Murry so we got to see him, now he is on our squad. Well winning Dleague Championship is what got Murry into NBA. Felix is more of a mystery to me than Murry. I watched Knicks games, so know of Toure. Felix was drafted last year from Cavs, and I watched some Cavs games and never really saw him, but thats cause he played 7 games. They both averaged under 10 minutes, but Toury got way more experience with 51 games, which is why i know of him.

I think both have guaranteed money, internet says felix salary is 510k, which is basically what Murry got 1 million two years, so im assuming 250k was guaranteed.

Funny, I was writing that he is going to be gone, basically as he was getting dropped!

Im certain Murry and Felix are the two we keep on deep bench.

Gobert and Booker just look way to good. While Kanter and Favors are doing good enough. Thats 4 guys and that is plenty for a solid rotation. So no need for Motum. I expect him to be gone next.

If i am correct, with Murry and Felix, Jazz would be right at 14 players.

1-Booker
2-Burke
3-Burks
4-Clark
5-Evans
6-Exum
7-Favors
8-Felix
9-Gobert
10-Hayward
11-Hood
12-Kanter
13-Murry
14-Novak

15-Motum

Does anyone think we keep him?!? Were obviously keeping Murry and Felix.

I'd be surprised if Felix makes it myself.. haven't seen much that impressed me..

I think Motum actually makes it now (is my guess)

Felix here to stay has gauranteed contract and Murry guaranteed until December and Motum maybe kept around bc stretch 4 and Aussie to make Dante Exum feel comfortable.
Play with the Pass, Play with a Purpose, and Play with Pace along with Obvious Unselfishness....Coach Snyder says the sky is purple than Jazz players say nice purple sky! LONG LIVE THE MAD SCIENTIST!!!!

So many damn bigs, 7 guys that can play PF/C when you can only play 12 guys? Honestly they all deserve some playing time, but I don't think Motum will ever see time, except for garbage time or several injuries (hope not!). Evans's manager should ask for a trade at this point, Evans is wasting time on the Jazz. I thought Evans had a solid back up PF spot with us in the future but with the Booker signing, and the emergence of Gobert, he seems at best the 5th C/PF off the bench, unless he gets backup SF minutes? That's possible.

I agree, waaay too many bigs lol...I'm not sure where jeremy evans fits either. We can go super athletic if we want to, and it's a nice option to have but unless injury hits I don't see evans playing big minutes...

Also as I type this, motum wasn't available to the media after practice today.. if I had a guess he might be boise bound..or something else is in the works..

I know this is an insult and blasphemy, so I apologize, and I don't really know why I felt this, but I felt that Dahntay Jones was going to be our John Lucas III. They shouldn't really be compared, I just kept seeing him when bad things happened like a turnover or bad shot or "almost" steal or someone scoring - even if the specific instance wasn't his fault. He was my scapegoat? No reason, really.
