I'm really excited to see Exum play. Rodney too. I want to see if there's improvement. I think our future relies on them.

I said Rodney would be better year one and I think Rodney will be better year two as well. Really looking forward to Hood draining 3's on everybody.

I used to go back in the day, but, it's a little hard for me now that I have kids. PLus, I got a little tired of looking at lineups of 5 guys that wouldn't even make the roster next year. I mean, I can see that at any rec center.

I think they should really play the guys with contracts more minutes for the sake of the fans.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

It's $5, $8, $15 for seeing NBA rookies, D-League players, Europe players. It's worth it. A lot of these teams are looking for decent D-League pick-ups as well.

I'll be there in Row 12 on Tuesday. Not sure if I'll go Monday.

I'm going to Thursday's game only. The Jazz gave season ticket holders one game to choose from and that's the one I chose.

The only real NBA offseason is August through September.

Lyles didn't practice today and may not play SL. Not his doing but that of DL. The article is in the SLTrib. DL doing his best mumbo jumbo talk.

Very strange that DL is holding onto that $375,000. They aren't going to use it, so why not let Lyles practice instead?

Here is the article:
http://www.sltrib.com/sports/2694238-155/utah-jazz-contract-hold-up-keeps-trey

It reminds me that the then fresh owner of the Grizzlies held up the contracts of Vazquez and some other rookies because he didn't want to give them that 120% bump, which is considered the norm in rookie contracts. He later apologized and said he was wrong to do so. I doubt DL is doing this because he's new, since it was never an issue with our previous rookies. Which makes me think the Jazz are working on something, and that we'll see a trade relatively soon. The guy is stressing over 375K of cap space and might hold Lyles from the summer league. I think something is in the works.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

I know why they did it, but $375K of cap room...seriously? That's less than a minimum contract.

300K might be the difference between having to release Millsap or keep him. Or having to release Booker or keep him, depending on what deal they are working on.

Probably has to do with the Pleiss contract. It sounds like they are working on that this very minute.

Like I said, I know why they did it, but that scenario is one in a million. They chances that we actually use all of our cap space are very slim, the chances we are $375 off are even more slim. If you keep Lyles out of summer league it is not worth it.

The moratorium ends on 7-9 with Vegas league starting on 7-10. I would expect his contract to be resolved before Vegas.

I doubt it, but let's hope so.

Dream scenario- Lyles + GS 1st + OKC 1st for Porzingis

The rookies actually looked pretty good in their first games today. I didn't get to see Turner's game but he put up big numbers.

Yah, he still moves awkwardly, but his shot is pure... I still wish he was there at 12.

Frank is not looking great right now. He looks slow both in O and D. Practically no success on his funky spin moves in the paint and on his pump-fake drives to the rim. On the other hand... his catch and shoot game just started clicking... nice stroke.

edit: take that back... he looks great on O right now. Still very weak and slow in D
