Fultz with 12 points on 6-12 shooting in 25 minutes last night. I don’t think he’s great but he gives entertainment value as a free agent & upside if a training staff can help get his mid-range shot working.

I think I’d rather watch the Jazz next season develop & tank more with guys like Fultz, George, Hendricks, Markkanen, Kessler, Sexton getting major minutes than see Kris Dunn, John Collins, Jordan Clarkson, etc.

Playing Collins and Clarkson is how you tank.

Some observations on differences of Edwards from Mitchel

1. He can with no problems take less than 10 shoots in a game (and be positive in +-)
2. He shows pride and efforts on defense.
3. He stared from rather bad relations with Gobert but somehow now they are quite good
4. Today he started from the bench
5. He mocks All-Star vanity fair

Based on that I think that he is going to be real superstar of winning type. Like Butler, kind of.

Raptors, Kelly Olynyk Agree To Two-Year, $26.25M Extension

I wonder if it changes the outlook of the trade by the Jazz fanbase.

Just makes me wonder even more why we traded for Collins.....

Nice to see Embiid return but this feels like a disaster waiting to happen. It's like the dreaded scenario of the player who returns before he's a 100% but feels like he has to, plays great and then suffers a catastrophic injury. Hope this doesn't happen but I have a bad feeling about this.

Yes, I wouldn't be surprised if this doesn't end well. Notwithstanding the 76ers fighting to get in to the playoffs, I would have expected the 76ers to gradually ramp up his mpg and keep his ending minutes below 30. Instead, he averaged 31 mpg and 37.8% usage in his first two games back.

My dream scenario for the playoffs in the Western Conference -

1) Pelicans or Kings move into the 6th position and the Suns are in a play-in game

2) Any two of the Warriors, Lakers and Suns are eliminated in the play-in game.

3) The one team of the Warriors, Lakers and Suns that gets into the playoffs is eliminated in 1st round

4) Clipper lose in 1st round

The 2nd round would consist of any of the following:
Minnesota
Denver
OKC
Dallas
Sacramento
New Orleans

You should want the Timberwolves to fail miserably in the first round so they would face the dilemma of continuing with their roster despite their huge payroll given the results, or start moving pieces around to cut costs and maybe blow things up. We'll get their draft picks starting next season and the last thing we need is for them to be good.

I still can't believe we traded Mitchell and Gobert before firing Quin.

Quin is probably a bottom 5 coach in the NBA.

My bottom 5 would be

1. Kidd
2. Carlisle
3. Quin
4. Hardy
5. Vogel

I really wanted to see a new coach with Mitchell and Gobert before blowing it up.

At the end of the day though we still had no trade assests (besides those 2) and no draft picks so...

Snyder was overrated but that team wasn't going anywhere, it was quite clear. And as pointed out, they had no way to significantly improve the team as it was depleted of assets.
