Wow man, really? He had a bad shooting night. It happens.

The game was unpleasant viewing, no doubt, but there's some positives to come out of it. Singler didn't look awful, Cam had another good game, and we won.

There is absolutely no doubt that teams raise their game when they play us, which is the price you pay for having two of the best players in the game.

There is something off about him the past 6 games or so. Just playing like a giant punk. He looks like he forgot how to score, missing every shot possible. If Westbrook wasn't there to spoonfeed his sorry ass points he would be averaging 15ppg.

Past 3 games or so his defense has completely vanished. He is a big part of the reason for MIddleton and Warren's big games. There is no excuse for a team leader to be playing like that, on either side of the ball.

Just awful basketball and attitude from him.

He's not looked himself recently, I agree with that. I do wonder if his conditioning is maybe a little sub-par after the injury. Offensively he's been trying to get other people involved a lot more, but I think it has maybe been detrimental to his own rhythm.
We're really not that used to seeing Durant go through the slumps that other shooters have, so hopefully that's all this is and he'll be back to his normal self shortly.

I'm almost certain this is the worst forum on RealGM when it comes to beating up the team while they're winning. It's like we're all just waiting for each bad play to be the one we can't recover from

Dion is in a slump. That's only notable because I didn't think a player that terrible could slump.

even a 12- 23 that uses team work comes into OKC and almost walks in and wins ,hero ball will lose to the good teams ...it will be same script/same result

Unless Kanter gets thirty shots per game, right?

Edit: Didn't see much of you when we were blowing teams out by thirty five, or when the bench was giving away leads left and right.

Welp...

It was the Suns "Big 3" of T.J. Warren, Mirza Teletovic, and P.J. Tucker (who??) vs. the Thunder "Big 3" of Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and Serge Ibaka and it came down to the final seconds as any knowledgeable NBA fan would expect when you've got two such prominent "Big 3s" going head-to-head.
Said in a thread about which point guards would make OKC better if they replaced Westbrook:

Weird, because Kanter was a -6.

Oh, here's an idea, let him play PG! He's the GOAT!

No, say something here and people give an informed answer instead of the usual "all our guys are awesome" BS. People are talking basketball. Shockingly you only show up to whine about Kanter, as usual. Oh, and that's evading the language filter, don't do it.

Serge really can't be counted as part of a big three anymore. He is so up and down and no longer has any offensive value outside of jumpshots from 18 feet. He was never great inside or crashing the offensive glass but he used to at least be able to leverage his jumpshot to occasionally get a deep post touch. Now it's purely catch and shoot, and not even with the benefit of shooting three's. He is still unique and important, but he used to feel like a lot bigger part of the team.

He's to the point where I'm wondering if he gets a max.

Esp under the new cap. I don't know.

There's no way I'd give it to him if I was any team besides OKC. He doesn't rebound well enough to be worth it based on the 'rim protecting big' scale, and this is the lowest his efg% and ts% has ever been.

And people said I was crazy for actually considering trading Ibaka prior to the season. His numbers have pretty much regressed every year. Time to start an Ibaka trade thread! Time to start an Ibaka trade thread?

Hell nah!

There's a diff between not a max guy and a guy you trade. Look at the on/off defensive numbers.

This. And Frankly, I'm completely prepared for us to give him a max contract to reward him for taking the 12 mill per year last time. And I'm completely okay with it. Classic worth more to us than to you scenario.

Yeah he's been a bit underpaid, he and Russ both will max out (I think Russ took a little less last time). Gonna be a ton of cash hopefully.
