I'm a big fan of Holmgren but I think the expectations need to be reasonable. He likely won't be offensive star out of the gate and he'll probably struggle at times with rebounding and interior man defense until he gets a little stronger. He also needs to learn to be consistent I saw him disappear at times in college. His shot blocking and handle are already pretty good. He's really good disrupting things with his long limbs. His shot is developing nicely and his passing out of the double team is good. I can't tell if he has an aggressive personality sometimes I see glimpses and sometimes he slinks into the background. His frame is so rare that worries me he might not put on weight like a Keon Clark of Thon Maker. Overall I have enough belief he will become a star player and that he'll put on muscle over the next few seasons.

He just needs to add functional strength. I think he could get up more shots and do a whole lot more on offense if he didn't get ripped so easily and pushed off his spots.

Hey guys, Wolves fan visiting. I wasn’t sure where to put this, but this looked like a good spot. This is video from a Pro Am where Chet looked amazing. Clips also show Paolo and McDaniels for anyone who is interested.

Bad news for myself, OKC fans, and all Chet fans. Copied from hoopshype “ Adrian Wojnarowski: Oklahoma City Thunder 7-footer Chet Holmgren will miss the 2022-2023 season with a Lisfranc injury to his right foot. Holmgren, the No. 2 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, suffered the injury in a Pro-Am game in Seattle on Saturday. – via Twitter wojespn”

This sucks for you guys but I guess you can see what the other rookies can do with more minutes. Hopefully 2024 is the year of competing to make the playoffs.

One more year of the tank, looks like you’ll be competing in 2028ish

There was always one more year of the tank. I think it does set up a bigger step from this year to next year with the chance of adding two top 5 picks to the current squad.

The Thunder have 10% of FRP's between -'24-'26.

In '28 the Thunder will be winning consecutives championships trying to figure out how to navigate the new CBA. The CBA bit them a couple of times. It won't catch Sam off guard again.

This year wasn't really even a tank year.... Chet's gonna make an impact for sure next year.
Cheers
