Marvin Bagley III's deal with the Pistons is three years, $37.5 million with no options.

similar deal for a similar player

If he comes somehow with a 35% 3pt that price would rise a lot.

I’d prefer to cut him.

Guess he's getting all his money?

8 millions to trade #30 and seconds for a future likely better FRP is fine (even more because we had too many picks in this draft)

So 3 of Favors, Jerome, Vit and Maledon gone I guess. Betting on Maledon to stay ;)

I wouldn't mind if we can find a trade for Bazley though..I just don't trust him at all and even the fit is bad. I doubt Presti wants to trade him right now unfortunately.

I don’t think baze has much value on his current contract which is why the suggestion of resigning him at 3/33 or 4/44 is gross to me. At the moment, he’s Tferg of PFs.

I think most teams would prefer Roby if they were trying to win games.

Much value clearly not but he should have around the same value as Diallo when he was a expiring (we got a 2nd). That's enough for me to get rid of Bazley

I’d take top 55 protected.

I don't mind letting Bazley have an opportunity to show improvement. If a top 55 pick is all we can get, I'm fine if he stayed to the deadline. Make no mistake, I'm not really a believer in his game but to be fair this is the first real offseason he's had since getting nba experience. I think Cam Payne has taught us that any player can improve with time. I think it would be interesting to know what factors are involved in deciding which underachieving players make the cut and which ones do not.

He probably gave back the minimum. It gives us a little cushion from the Lux Tax.

How much money does we spent on the JaMychal Green adventure? Salary 8,2 Mio. If he sign with GSW, this salary will be subtract from the 8,2 Mio or not?

depends if he took some paycut to get the buy out. We don't know the details yet. I think best case scenario is that he gave up 2.5 millions to join Gs.

Bazley could be in that discussion as well.

Favors, Bazley & Jerome could be packaged for a John Collins. I doubt the Thunder go this rout as they will have about $25 million under the cap next year.

But, the Thunder tend to not sign free agents. Maybe they win the lottery draft Victor then add two bench players with the $25M, to round out the 15 man roster next year.

The Thunder will have $25M in cap space if Bazley, Favors & Jerome are not bought back and Vit and Theo's contracts aren't guaranteed.

I have a question about this. Indiana seems poised to do what OKC did which is bring in a talented young PG, tank, then max them and exit the rebuild with the talented young PG as the cornerstone. Knowing now how this would all play out, do you trade SGA last year or even this year for more young talent (maybe a rookie scale future max player?) Or, do you do it the same way and trust SGA to be the cornerstone alongside Chet and either Giddy or a third star you bring in?

I agree. We've got to either:

1) Believe in a SGA, Chet, Giddey, Dort core and try to develop and grow with it

2) Extend out this rebuild and trade SGA and Dort and keep trying to find a cornerstone

I like option 1. I believe in Chet and SGA.

You got any more videos of Giddey and Suggs working out? He's on this lady's Instagram stories.
