I believe you. if Harden is on the way out as it seems to be reported, then there's a place for Dame's salary.

Off the top of my head 3-team trade

Harden > HOU
Dame > PHL
Smith Jr, Christopher, Korkmaz, picks > POR

No way in heck Houston gives up anything of worth for Harden. They were already signaling they weren’t super excited about him before all of this mess.

Retro, any other details? Like whether LA ends up with Harden?

I guess he’s not good enough to take that roster out of last place but they still have to get to 90%. Next level tanking.

Stone is probably trying to save his job.

Interesting way to go about that.

I think he will help them. The stat line doesn't blow your skirt up, but the advanced stuff still likes him. He led TOR in EPM this year. I'm more baffled as to why Ujiri let him walk for nothing after giving up a first-round pick to add Poeltl. I just don't see how they compete next year. None of it really makes sense.

Wish we could put together a deal for Ayton. We're pretty much loaded everywhere but the 5.

Is the 3rd year on FVV contract guaranteed? If yes I love this for our 2026 rockets pick (same for 2024 one and it increases the odds of that 2025 swap to convey).

Utah got Collins and are not looking to go full tanking which is great too. Only worried about Harden going to LAC but so far pretty good offseason for our future picks :)

Better to let him walk than sign him for 40m a year

I would suggest not to look too far ahead in terms of those picks. Very easy for team to win now at season end against tankers which all of those team have the incentive to win .

I'm going to speculate that they didn't believe they could finish with another top 4 pick so adding FVV gave them an impact player at a position that wasn't occupied by a young prospect in their quest to get the pick as high as possible since they expect it to go to OKC. I don't think they are ready to jump to being a playoff team, but if they go from theoretically the 6th pick to the 11th pick they could see that as a win by reducing what their opponent gets.

I think they had a decent chance for that pick to be top 4 and it's still higher now with FVV signing for 40+ millions instead of signing 2-3 decents players for the same amount.

West is full of teams trying to win and they might end they will likely not make the play in even if they try to win all season.

You think OKC can make him an offer that the Hornets don't match?

I think rockets will still finish with a bottom 3 record. That roster sucks. And they all seem like goobers.
