2023 Off-Season Cap Space Team Challenge: Spend ALL Your Cap Space

Post#1 » by NYG » Wed Apr 12, 2023 1:04 am

This is a project I'm working on for cap space teams, just because I'm interested.

Here is your off-season projected cap space...
Projected NBA Salary Cap: $134,000,000

Thunder
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander $33,386,850
Luguentz Dort $15,277,778
Chet Holmgren $10,386,000
Josh Giddey $6,587,040
Kenrich Williams $6,175,000
Lindy Waters III $1,927,896
Aleksej Pokusevski $5,009,633
Ousmane Dieng $4,798,440
Jalen Williams $4,558,680
Isaiah Joe $1,997,238
Tre Mann $3,191,400
Jaylin Williams $2,000,000
Jeremiah Robinson-Earl $1,900,000
Aaron Wiggins $1,836,096
11th Overall $4,952,160

Total Salary $103,984,211
Tax Space $58,015,789
Cap Space $30,015,789
Empty Roster Spot Cap Holds $0

So here are the rules...

1. You must spend ALL of your cap space. It can be spread across 2-3 players.

2. You cannot use ANY of the cap space towards a trade.

3. The following free agent have already re-signed with their current teams:
Kristaps Porzingis
Kyle Kuzma
Kyrie Irving
Caris LeVert
Nikola Vucevic
Rui Hachimura
D'Angelo Russell
Jerami Grant
Matisse Thybulle
Fred VanVleet
Jakob Poeltl
Harrison Barnes
Khris Middleton
Jae Crowder
Brook Lopez
Jordan Clarkson
Josh Hart
Dillon Brooks
Grant Williams
Cam Johnson
PJ Washington
Gabe Vincent
Max Strus

4. The following free agent signings have happened:
Gary Trent Jr to Orlando
James Harden and Draymond Green to Houston

5. Here is a list of the best remaining free agents:

Point Guard
Russell Westbrook
Derrick Rose
Reggie Jackson
Cory Joseph
Patrick Beverley
George Hill
Ty Jerome
Dennis Schroder
Jevon Carter
Dennis Smith Jr.

Shooting Guard

Bruce Brown Jr.
Will Barton
Terrence Ross
Josh Richardson
Victor Oladipo
Seth Curry
Shake Milton
Lonnie Walker IV
Justin Holiday
Kendrick Nunn
Nickeil Alexander-Walker
Josh Okogie
Danny Green

Small Forward
Kelly Oubre
Torrey Craig
Stanley Johnson
Keita Bates-Diop

Mason Plumlee
Dewayne Dedmon
Robin Lopez
Bismack Biyombo
DeAndre Jordan

I'm offering 40/2 to Jerami Grant, and 20/2 for Dario Saric, bring on TW signee Olivier Sarr for 4/10 (Non-Guarantee or TO-yr3/4)

Also would be pleased with Torrey Craig for 50/3 or less per-year than Grant but post play is more a priority for OKC I believe.
Cheers

Probably not for a price that raptor fans would like. I like siakam and think he could help but without assurances he wants to extend here it’s hard to part with any of our best proven young assets. You want a several mid to late firsts? Sure.
