Flip them to teams who need immediate cheap help for future protected firsts. Bundle our own guys for a better player and replace them with second rounders. Keep rolling assets down the road. There are a lot of ways to use the assets and zero reason not to acquire them for victor and jre.

The end of cap room for assets is coming soon. Kicking the can down the road is going to be a thing for awhile with all of these 2nds. Like, could be for like 10-15 years.

Micic has looked pretty good so far. Of course, seems a little timid defensively and he hasn't shot particularly great... But in his post-game press conference after the CHA game he said the pace is really high for him. He's not used to the speed yet.

I see him being best used for the swing periods of 1st and 3rd Quarters... get him playing higher speed and help facilitate the offense without gassing him out too much. At least he'll feel like he's getting the flow going and keeping the standard of play high, he'll have chances to initiate and pass to his teammates. Like 6-8 minute stretches each quarter... That's reasonable to me, he's a solid passer, he runs PnR nicely, he defintely looks comfortable shooting just maybe a little nervous right now.

That tweet is a little obtuse with our roster  Yes, 3 guaranteed spots, but 16 total active players

Isaiah Joe, Aaron Wiggins, and Jack White are all non-guaranteed or partially guaranteed.

One roster spot still needs to be cleared for 15 active players on the RS roster, and we're allotted 3 TWs, which are filled.

Cutting White means we take a 800k cap hit, The other two are fully Non-G, but better players ;)

JRE had a very good 1'year, but last season he struggled and since he was injured he was no more the same. It's a logical cut and normally White will be the next one.

Weird clutching of pearls on the general board about trading for and waiving KPJ.

Really dumb/misguided self righteousness from Dan Favale and co. as if OKC trading and waiving him is in any way condoning his crimes.

I hope you are right but my pick is around 46. I just want houston to be good enough for the 5th or 6th draft pick. And Utah to be good enough for the 11th pick. I know I am asking for a miracle.

If they replace dort with either a decent 4 or give all his minutes to Wiggins/Joe, this team is a problem for anyone in the league.

Don't like Bertans at all but I think Chet/Bertans/JDub/GiddeyShai would be our best line up.

I’m partial to giddey/shai/Wiggins/jdub/Chet personally.

Chet doesn't need the ball in his hands to score and that is huge for us.

Giddey improving so much on offense...still need a decent shot though

I like Wiggins way more than Bertans but a PF that can shoot well from 3 is what our team needs the most (I obviously want us to get a better player than Bertans obviously but think he can still have a positive impact).

I don’t think Bertans adds anything defensively as a PF. I like Wiggins as a shooter and connecter who doesn’t hurt you on defense. Last year, having a dude that was taller than 6’7 mattered a lot more. Chet changes all that.

I still don't understand what will be Cason's role.

I guess Micic can be the back up PG with our bench unit? JDub was doing it last season with great success but Micic can do it as well.

Gonna be difficult to get enough minutes for Wiggins/Kenrich/Isaiah Joe/Mann (well I guess Mann won't stay for long). Maybe they still make some crazy line ups with Kenrich at the 4 or 5.

Agreed on the crunch at guard. It’s hard to have any kind of consistent flow when your minutes are being jerked around. Could easily see that becoming a problem if coach D isn’t willing to make some hard choices. Unfortunately I just don’t see him making the best choice which is sitting dort.

Taking away any sort of "get-ability" factor: who is the closest to prime Klay Thompson across the league right now and how can we slot that player into Dort's role?
