I think this roster is going to be pretty competitive. If all things are healthy and operational with Holmgren. Jalen Williams and Dieng should see big responsibilities as scorers and initiators. The rest of the roster is playing for their contracts, but obviously have a mix of guys that were successful college players and new draft picks.

Notable absences include Jaylin Williams and Tre Mann, Wiggins, and JRE -- I think most of these guys have played pretty well in SL the past so they aren't necessarily needed to "see" what OKC has with them. (Honestly same with JDub but that's okay, he'll be one of the best players in the field I believe no matter the matchup). Would have liked to see Jaylin on the roster, and that may still yet happen if new additions are picked up.

Enjoy summer basketball everyone!

OKC has a few guys from nearby schools that they are bringing into SL. That C/F Tanner Groves guy was on OU's team and he's like a slower, less accurate shooting Vucevic  NOT an NBA level player, but here he is with a chance I guess, to be nice. Flagler was pretty good at Baylor, and especially his senior season he played good defense, shot the 3-ball very well and had 4.6 assists per game. That's going to help his prospects a lot more. TW contract ?

I only care about Chet and Dieng tbh. I hope we give Mann a lot of playing time too...he deserves a last chance even if I don't think he will be able to make it.

I'm indifferent on Mann. He is a decent bench piece while on his rookie contract, but his 3pt shooting dropped significantly last year from 36% as a rookie to 31.5% last year. He's got to shoot 35%+ from 3. He did shoot 45% on corner 3s last year, but when over half your shots are from 3, like last year, and your overall is under 35% that isn't going to cut it. As a rookie 46% of his shots were from 3. With the drafting of a 3&D PG in Cason there will be pressure on Mann to step it up this year.

Part of the theory behind drafting Cason could also be to play Mann off the ball more and try to get him better looks from 3. I just hope the failed experiment known as Dort is coming to an end.

No Keyontae interest? Pretty sure he’d have been a first rounder without the heart problems.

tre mann's shot quality is low because so many of his 3pt shots are off the dribble. he doesnt' supplement this with any sort of consistent game at or near the rim, or the line, so he's going to be inefficient.

summer league doesn't matter. i kind of wish it wasn't even broadcast because it's just glorified scrimmaging. but that won't stop the hot takes if someone is better or worse than expected.

I almost added him. You right, he deserves some consideration.

See, and I think they should broadcast scrimmages. :)

Summer league doesn't matter but we got some nice intels last one...Chet/JDub were GREAT, Dieng and Mann were a disaster.

Mann showing that he can play smart basketball would be nice (no matter if his shots goes in or not)

JDub playing like it's a playoff game...I love him so much. Hard working guy like Shai, loves Basketball and wants to be the best version of himself

Chet looks terrible offensively which is normal I guess after missing so many time.

Last year Chet was looking smooth and killing it. Tonight he's racking up fouls and looks hesitant. Let's hope he ramps up a bit and gets some confidence before the season starts.

Chet looks way out of sync and exhausted, likely a product of not playing competitively for over a year. That said, he has had a couple drives and finishes that he didn't have last summer league. Last summer league he mainly showcased shooting ability. I really believe he is going to be a great player if he can stay healthy (which is a big if honestly).

He looked good in the second quarter.

Man, that Tre Mann dunk. So majestic. So explosive. He’s terrible.

They’ve been challenging and trying to bully Chet from the tip. Chet hasn’t played spectacular but he isn’t backing down an inch. A lot of dudes are going to try to dunk through him for awhile and a lot of dudes are going to find both of his hands on the ball at the rim.
