Yeah, I could see Presti making a solid offer for Bridges.

OKC has over 30mil+ in capspace if they let Biyombo and Hayward go. Besides, if they decide to trade a guy like Dort, they can easily take back 50mil in salary.

It’s incredible how next years cap hit currently is 102mil (granted they will sign some rookies on top of that).

The current average age is 23.3 years without Hayward and Biyombo. If they sign some rookies its gonna be between 23-24 years of age on average throughout the team, which is flat out bonkers considering they will already finish as the top3 seed in the west (good odds of finishing first even). Quite an “arrival”.

Presti might offer Giddey and some FRPs for Bridges and i'm not sure that will be enough. I know we have a lot of picks but we don't have many players with ton of trade value (except our stars)

I dont see Nets trading Bridges. He’s their best player. Obviously OKC wouldnt be trading valueable pieces if they wish to upgrade. Perhaps picks alone would suffice because salaries do not need to match.

But something will definitely be available with all that space. Hell, salary wise Presti could get back Durant for Dort (obviously not gonna trade for a 50mil 35year old, but the point stands).

Fun little mind games. They are all playing. Dallas, however, sat everyone against OKC.

yeah they should get the 2nd seed if Minny loses so no reason to sit their best players

I hope we don't play Hayward in the POs but I'm worried they give him some Wiggins playing time.

No idea what will happen in the POs but even if we get swept in the first round, that was a GREAT season. We are playing at a very high level and also a very entertaining style of basketball. Shai improved, JDub is a legit star and I would be surprised if he isn't a future multiple all star player, Chet is THAT good..he might never be a franchise player but what he brings is so rare and so important to this team. Presti nailed the Cason pick. Dort is becoming a good role player. Not much negative other than Giddey who is playing better now but might be a bad fit to this team.

1st seed. Quite the accomplishment.Well played Thunder !!!

It was a pleasure watching from afar and the only point of interest without Steven Adams to follow.

Fingers crossed Presti brings the big fella back to his draft hometown and he can wear 12 again.

Hope y'all make some noise and go deep into the post season.

Definitely not me, I thought we'd be 5-7 and a quick 1R exit. Now we're the top seed and definitely not an easy exit.

Highly over performed relative to my expectations, and to think that there's ways to improve our team further with cap space and assets OKC has....sooo yeah I enjoyed this regular season immensely! The chemistry between the guys looks sharp, and they play a very polished offensive game. We have some problems as a team, mostly still getting rebounds, but we are excellent in space and with transition pts off of turnovers.

Now all those good feelings get to be picked apart by playoff basketball showing us the level the guys can go when facing tried and true veterans and champions in a 7 game series vs GSW or Los Angeles in R1.

That is unless someone thinks that NOLA or Sacramento can conquer their demons and eliminate the big names....
Cheers

Why would Presti do that? Do you think Houston is going to pay a 2nd round pick to dump his salary? Do you think Presti would need to give up value for a cheerleader? At this point in his career and how OKC plays Adams is an inferior backup center to Jaylin Williams.

One day you're gonna get sick of asking stupid questions and being wrong! That day is not today.

Enjoy the 1st seed and the bright future ahead.

Adams might be my favorite Thunder player all time but he's the exact opposite of what OKC is looking for. We are looking at versatile bigs that can drive and shoot. We might need to add a better back up but I doubt we will bring a traditional big man that can't shoot and is too slow for OKC's current playing style.

Would love Adams to come back to OKC to finish his career but I don't see any minutes for him.

I'm gonna hold off making bold predictions and see how J-Will, Biz and Muscrat look under the brightlights of the post season and how the Funaki looks next regulatr season in a rotation with Sengun and Landale at Houston.

It'll be interesting to see how OKC's non-slow style translates to the bogged down half-court the post season becomes when boxing out, hard screens, banging bodies, grabbing boards and second chance points become the norm. All of which are Adams bread and butter.

If he ain't shot he has huge value with situational minutes, mentoring and public relations, and if he is busted then come on home to Aotearoa big fella. You done good!

what a season. 1st seed is great. warriors and lakers are a little bit scary as play-in teams because of how they have played lately, but the thunder should be favored against any of these teams.

I'm not scared about the Warriors even if I still get PTSD from 2015-2016. Just think we match up very well against them even if I know that their experience can be key comes playoff time.

I just don't know how we can stop AD and Lebron on the other end

A.D and LBJ are still gimpy and the dubs of 24 ain't the dubs of 2016. The kangz are still the kangz.

Its the pelicans id be worried about if they come through the play in unscathed.

Coach D about Shai. Still think Jokic should get it because he's on another level but Shai deserves to finish at least second.

I love our coach btw. Smart and humble guy. Hope we can keep him for a long time. Gonna be interesting to see how he handles the POs. He might make some "rookies" mistakes but it's gonna be a learning curve.
