Is this game coming down to whose B. Bogdanovich fouls out first?

Worst day in Croatian sports history. Zaninovic lost her fight with a blow in the last second, handballers who were huge favourites lost, basketball team lost.

Sorry, man - tough day. I was really pulling for the Croats to complete that comeback there at the end.

Oh well....such is the life of a Croat. Nothing new...another drama another loss.
Anyways at least these were the best Olympics for Croatia so far despite this horrible day. 7 medals (our previous best is 6) so far + water polo team is in the 1/2 final. Too bad we could have had 10 or more medals with a bit of luck.....

Great game. I think Croatia has too many of the same kind of player. Bogdanovic, Saric and Herzonja are all around 6'9-6'10, good shooters, good passers but a bit slow footed on defence. A bit like Kukoc in the 90s.

Serbia on the other hand are a lot more well balanced! Teodosic is a maestro on offence, reminds me of Nash. Their own version of Bogdanovic was on fire too. Radujlica down low is a beast and Jokic has a very promising future.

Bring it on Serbia! I can't wait for Australia vs Serbia!

The Boomers completely dismantled Lithuania... they're offense is absolutely amazing, its like they get 2 screens and 2 rolls off every pass, it reminds me a lot of the 2014 spurs and the powerhouse lithuanian teams that would consistently push the USA.

Also looks like they have figured out they're guard rotation... Martin plays with Mills and Lisch plays with Delly... It appears there is little confidence in Motum especially after Bairstowes injury logically should open up some minutes for him... I still say they should have taken Jawaii...

Nah... The Serbs (the Croats too, but I'm talking about the Serbs since they advanced) are tough SOBs and they can beat any team. The Serbian women's team threw the Australians (who were supposed to be a superteam) out of the semifinals, and the Serbian men are equally tough.

Me too. The "Once Brothers" 30 for 30 damn near made me cry, I'm fascinated to see them compete nowadays! I reckon it'll be fiery as ever.

Yep that documentary is a must see. Watching the game today and seeing how similar the two teams are, I couldn't help but think of how great they would be if they had one team.

Add former Yugoslavian countries Slovenia, Bosnia, FYROM, they all speak the same language (I think?) and play the same kind of basketball, they would glue together instantly.

None of these countries have any superstars currently, but it would make them crazy deep with Dragic, Teletovic, Nurkic, Antic, Saric, Bogdanovic X2, Teodosic, Radulica, Jokic, Hezonja.
All from a population the size of New York metro.

Happy with the outcomes in the quarters. We have the two best semifinal matchups one could ask for.
Serbia vs Australia: Two similar styles, highlighted by phenomenal offensive execution and a "fight to the death" mentality.
USA vs Spain: Nothing has to be said. This is Spain's biggest shot at redemption and maybe their biggest shot at gold.
The best part about all of this is that, no matter who wins in the semis, we will get to see two great games on Sunday too!
