(I'm certain this is going to be a Fedal Final. And it needs to be so Nadal can tie the Wimbledon head2head at 2-2)

Did you see Roddick's post match presser? He was angry to say the least. I don't think Andy R will win another grand slam as long as he has to face competition from Fed, Rafa and Novak.
lol missed that, I watched the game on a delay.

Re: Wimbledon 2011
(I think the rule regarding breaking your racquet should be that you are only allowed to smash your racquet once. If you do it again, then you lose the match. I was watching Djokovic slamming the racquet 5 times in 5 seconds in the most violent and psychotic way yesterday, and I think by doing that very close to a linesperson you are committing an act of assault, perhaps more in a psychological sense than physical, but in a way its very close to physical)

Re: Wimbledon 2011
I think you can *break* no more than one racket but I couldn't be sure. There could be a points penatly after that but not sure if the player would forfeit the match.

Re: Wimbledon 2011
(I don't know the rule but I know the umpire says "Code violation racquet abuse Mr. Djokovic" after one racquet breakage because that happened 2 days ago. There is a number of violations before you lose a point, and I heard one commentator say its either 2 or 3 violations [they weren't sure]. And I know McEnroe ended up having the match awarded to his opponent after a certain number of violations/point penalties and I think Agassi did too once.
I think the rules are too weak, because these are not animals in a zoo or babies, they are professionals. It's not too much to ask that they exercise some self-control. You could also apply the logic that when a player bounces his/her racquet onto the court it can mistakenly hit a ball-kid or lines-person, that right there is justification enough even if unlikely)

Re: Wimbledon 2011
(When I first saw Tomic play at the Australian Open couple of years ago I had no doubt he'd become world number one eventually, definitely my 2nd favorite player. He and Nadal should have a great rivalry, and it began at this year's Australian Open when Tomic led 4-0 before Nadal came back and won the set and won in straight sets, but was very interesting match tactically)

Wozniacki is such a horrible #1.
Both Williams sisters gone on the same day. Hopefully Pironkova doesn't squander another big win over Venus.

Poor Del Potro. Has to play Novak in the 3rd at the French and Nadal in the 4th at Wimbledon. At this point he's rounding back into Top 5-8 worthy form but bad draws are getting in his way.

(Nadal had 61 winners and 16 unforced errors vs Del Potro. Del Potro had 44 winners)

I was actually scared of del potro..and thought an upset was possible..
but good to see rafa doing his thing
his serve and net game is quite remarkable if you remember where it started..

Re: Wimbledon 2011
Del Potro deserves to be pissed at Nadal for pulling that heel bull right before the tiebreaker. Clearly killed his momentum.

(McEnroe said last year and again a week ago that Nadal has the best volleys in tennis, and he noted they are better than Federer's volleys)

I think Nadal's injury gives Federer the championship here. If you're anything less than 100% for him here, it's not good enough.

Agreed. Its too bad Rafa is injury prone. His style of play is both a blessing and a curse.

Re: Wimbledon 2011
(Federer still has the edge over Djokovic in their rivalry. Djokovic's destiny is dependent on whether somebody upsets Federer before SFs in each slam - if Federer and Djokovic are on the same side of the draw obviously)
