Good to hear. World cricket won't be right until the Windies are competitive again.

I'm just amazed at this time of turmoil with their board (Makes CA look entirely logical and reasonable) they've been able to put some decent blokes together.

Sammy's a good captain, handy bowler/lower order batsman.

Openers are solid players who look to occupy.

Baugh's a very good keeper and can bat a little.

Bishoo's a handy leg spinner.

Edwards is a No 3 with 2 Test hundreds to his name already in a career >10 matches.

Darren Bravo is a talented no 4 - good attacking cricketer.

Chanderpaul is in wonderful form and is a really underrated player. Almost 10,000 Test Runs, now has the ability to graft/attack as he pleases. Fantastic player in the twighlight of his career, and setting a great example for the younger guys.

Then throw in bowlers like Fidel Edwards and Kemar Roach, and they're gonna surprise a few teams. Pushed India a long way in India.

They could use Dwayne Bravo but I reckon Gayle needs to stay away from this team now.

RIP, he was always good to listen to on the radio. Have they released the circumstances in which he died yet?

Don't ever see him in anything but coloured clothing. Talented, but like Gayle, not so sure of his work ethic.

Wonder what happened to Jerome Taylor for West indies. His bowling action was solid and he had great pace.

Injuries. Quite a few like that from the Windies - guys like Ian Bishop, Mervyn Dillon and those guys. I can't imagine the Windies spend a lot of money on rehab/injury management.

Taylor's still only 27.

Where do you see Indian cricket in 5 years? Who's playing for them then?

I haven't been in touch with the domestic scene since moving to the US but from what I see there's some really good batsmen coming through as always, guys like Kohli, Raina are already established.

Spinners are good as well but finding reliable pace bowlers is a big challenge. We had Kapil Dev, then it took us forever to find Srinath and then a little longer for Zaheer Khan to arrive. Since then its been another barren run.

If India could find someone with the smarts, fitness and staying capability of one of those guys, the team should be fine.

Apparently he killed himself :o :o

I hope this isn't similar to what happened with Bob Woolmer's death.

From what I can gather on ninemsn:

- He was speaking to Police about the alleged sexual assault

- Then he called a mate about getting in contact with a lawyer

- Then, while the officer was still in the room, he fell 6 stories to his death

This is bizarre. I don't know what to think.

Nope - looks like a repressed gay bloke.

Don't think that's worth killing yourself over...
