Philippines Owning New Zealand Lately

Post#1 » by durden_tyler » Wed Jul 26, 2023 3:25 am

Nothing important, just wanted to gloat and admittedly i don't even follow these sports but because it's the national team of course it's going to be in my timeline and well, scream nationalistic pride because these are big upsets. LOL

First we beat New Zealand on their home turf, in Soccer World Cup, 1-0. We still need to beat Norway (we won't) to advance to the next round but this is seen as big accomplishment already (first appearance in WC, first goal in WC in our country's history)

Then a few hours later, i believe in Italy, our softball women's team beat New Zealand AND Italy to advane to the playoff round. LOL

If there is no basketball in heaven, i am not going.
