Pastner had called for Memphis fans to fill the building and be loud, and they did – it was the largest crowd of the season, 18,039.

"I thought the crowd was great," he said, "and I'm disappointed with our not coming up with the win tonight. I don't think we played very poorly. I actually thought we played very well in some areas. UConn just hit some shots, especially at the end."
