The Clippers and Cavs have agreed upon a deal.

Clippers Receive
Klay Thompson ($2,126,520)
Carl Landry ($9,000,000)
2013 ORL 2nd
2012 DAL 2nd

Total: $11,126,520

Cavs Receive
Ryan Anderson ($2,244,601)
Hasheem Thabeet ($5,127,720)

Total: $7,372,321

Deal works (Clippers are under the cap).

Cavs accept. We GROSSLY overpay, but like Anderson's fit on our roster. And oh, we hadn't made a deal in nearly two days..

we needed to get away from Anderson's cap hold to free up money for the BIG FELLA, we love Anderson's game and wish him well with the best GM in the game. Klay can shoot the rock which is something my team needed plus he is big and can defend.

# 224: Detroit/Minnesota

Detroit Sends
Damien Wilkins - $884,389
Ben Wallace - $2,246,400
Available Cap Space: $1,589,283
Total= 4.719 Including available Cap.

Minnesota Sends
Nikola Pekovic - $4,503,600
*3m Cash*

Detroit has enough in cap to absorb Pekovic's contract. We lose an additional year in commited salary but more important we prefer a 3rd string C or PF that has experience and can come in to use up his 6 fouls rather than spend minutes which we don't have to develop him.

We take a year of salary, but Pekovic fits our rebuilding franchise better than two vets, and the the extra cash will be used soon.

The Detroit Pistons and The Charlotte Bobcats have agreed to a trade:

The Pistons will send:
Mario Chalmers [4,000,000]

The Bobcats will send:
Sean Livingston [3,500,000]
Miami 2012 2nd
2Million in Cash

We send out a promising PG in Livingston for a solid PG in Chalmers. Sucks sending out cash...but whatever it takes to get the deal done.

Trade #226: Boston Celtics - San Antonio Spurs

Celtics Receive:
PF/C Marcus Camby ($11,227,250)

Spurs Receive:
SF/PF Jeff Green ($9,000,000)
PF Luke Harangody ($788,872)
2012 2nd Round Pick (from Indiana)

9.788872 *1.25 +.1 = $12,336,090 > $11,227,250

Celtics accept.

This is exactly the kind of deal we were looking to round out our roster. Marcus Camby brings excellent veteran leadership, but more importantly some post defense which our current starting PF/C duo lacks. Camby will start at PF, but will slide and play center with Chris Kaman going to the bench. We now feel our big depth is correct with a trio of Ilysasova, Camby, and Kaman playing the majority of the minutes.

#227 Houston and Chicago have a trade:

Houston sends: Marcus Thornton($8,000,000) + Kevin Seraphin($1,680,360) + Dante Cunningham($2,000,000) = $11,680,360

Chicago sends: Bismack Biyombo($2,798,040) + Mike Dunleavy($3,750,000) + Shannon Brown($3,500,000) = $10,048,040 x 1.5 = $15,072,060

Houston will also send $1m in cash considerations.

We shopped Thornton around a little while for a center....and Biyombo can play there we think. He's extremely raw on offense, but he's already shown he can block shots(4PER36, and surprisingly only 6 fouls), and rebound at a decent rate. At 19 years old we think his potential with his length/motor and athleticisim is off the charts.

NOH and NYK have a trade to announce.

NOH outgoing:
Dirk Nowitzki $19,092,873

NYK outgoing:
Antawn Jamison $15,076,715
Ty Lawson $1,654,440
Iman Shumpert $1,563,120
WAS 2012 1st (top 5 protected)
GS 2012 1st (top 6 protected)
total: $18,294,275

Bold move here to split up Rose and Dirk but I didn't like the age difference between the two. I really liked the fit play wise though so I am sad to see Dirk go. Lawson and Shump are two young guards with great upside and we add two likely lotto picks,

Confirmed. The picks are WAS9top 5 protected) and GSW(top 6 protected). I exchange my second PG and some young player for a star who fits in right next to J-Smoove and WB.

#229: LAC/MIN

Clippers Sends
2015 LAC 1st
EDIT: 2015 MEM 2nd

Minny Sends
2012 ORL 2nd

Minny was thinking of either moving into the top 30 for someone who wanted lesser guaranteed money or trading away that high up ORL 2nd for future first. Since we have chatted with Sambone for awhile, we rather help someone we know than keep the flexibility open for a few days more. Nice dealing!

EDIT, its the 2015 Memphis 2nd since the Clippers pick was traded in real life

Clippers have alot of future picks now, and wanted to get into the 2012 draft, this is the highest I could go without taking money away from the Big Fella

Pistons accept. Chalmers was never going to start here, so we pick up a cheaper backup, a 2nd, and cash to go towards a buyout.

#230

Miami out / Orlando in:
Norris Cole - $863,000

Orlando out / Miami in:
2012 Dallas 1st

Orlando has cap space to absorb the salary.

Miami accepts. It's a game, and it's more fun to be in the draft than to be out of it. And I'm hoping Dallas's pick will be good enough to get me a guy I like at least as much as Cole.

EDIT: Just told by another owner that the Dallas pick was top-20 protected; if that's correct trade will be renegotiated or canceled.

Confirmed

In only 15 games in the NBA, Norris has made a pretty big name for himself on a team full of stars. His energy and commitment to defense is something that would fit perfectly on this team. With plans of keeping Flynn long-term changing (due to maintaining cap flexibility for future deals) this is the best move for the franchise as we get a proven commodity.

#231 Houston and Minnesota have a trade:

Houston sends: Cole Aldrich($2,286,000) + Shannon Brown($3,500,000) = $5,786,000

Minnesota sends: Wayne Ellington($1,154,040) + Lazar Hayward($1,097,520) = $2,251,560
Minnesota also sends $500k in cash considerations.

Minnesota has caproom to absorb the difference.

Houston accepts. Ellington has been playing pretty solid over his last 5 and is proving he can have a place in the NBA. Brown and Aldrich don't mean much to us as Brown is an expiring, and Aldrich is in a crowded bigman rotation.

#232 LA Clippers and NJ Nets have a trade

Clippers send
Carl Landry $9,000,000

Nets send
2013 NJ 1st
Boris Diaw $9,000,000

Carl was not part of our plans and adding 2013 1sts is. plus BoBo is a personal favorite so I wanted to grab him. I needed someone to help with wine selections and Bo is the best I know! Nice dealing NJ and good luck

NJ accepts - I generally agree that Diaw is a favorite, but despite a few outstanding games, Landry is flat out-out=performing Boris. While Diaw is very skilled - his lack of consistency and energy lapses makes him exasperating. Landry gives his all every night and his PER 36 is much better than Boris in Pts & Boards. Both player come with Bird Rights so this will be an excellent audition.

We consolidate our bench fashion next season from Ellington + Lazar into Aldrich whom we feel has the size to carry any fashion. Beside, if he were to declare in 2012 draft he would be amongst the top 5 Center picked for sure. Shannon is an expiring while the cash is nothing more than some help to see a certain player buyout.
