Milwaukee and Miami have agreed to a trade.

Bucks out:
Jeff Teague - $2,433,077
Jordan Hamilton - $1,200,000
Total = $3,633,077

Heat out:
Bismack Biyombo - $2,923,920
Darius Johnson-Odom - $473,604
Total = $3,397,524

The Bucks do this deal because we love Biyombo's potential as we think he can become the next Ben Wallace-esque shot-blocker and defender in the NBA. We liked Teague, but with Jennings and Wroten Jr. we could afford to trade him for value. Good dealing.

Miami accepts. Overpaying a bit, but I was loaded in the frontcourt and in need of a starting quality PG.

Trade #306: Dallas Mavericks - Milwaukee Bucks

Mavericks Receive:
SG Xavier Henry ($2,323,200)
SF Derrick Williams ($4,947,840)
PF Bismack Biyombo ($2,293,920)
Total Salary: $9,564,960

Bucks Receive:
PG Toney Douglas ($2,067,880)
SF Harrison Barnes ($4,133,280)
PF Tiago Splitter ($3,944,000)
Total Salary: $10,145,160

Mavericks accept.

It's tough parting ways with Harrison Barnes, who was the main piece of the original Carmelo trade but ultimately getting back last year's #2 and #7 picks is a pretty decent return. We liked Splitter quite a bit, but he still hasn't lived up his potential and we have a glut of point guards. We feel like we got a guy who could break out in Derrick Williams and another Serge Ibaka on our hands.

Accepted. We hate breaking up our front-court of Williams/McGee, but we love what Barnes brings to the table. He has what it takes to lead a team to the promise land with his level head, awesome skills and ability to make the big shot. It hurts giving up Biyombo so quickly, and we probably overpay here, but Splitter and Douglas help ease that pain. Good dealing.

NOH and CHI have a trade to announce.

NOH outgoing:
Chris Bosh $17,545,000

CHI outgoing:
Rodney Stuckey $8,500,000
Chuck Hayes $5,486,250
Jared Sullinger (rites)
Perry Jones (rites)
Cash: $1,500,000
total: $13,986,250

A frontcourt of Cousins/Sullinger/Jones is full of potential, we couldn't pass up on this. Cousins and Sullinger in particular are massive guys (270lbs and 280lbs respectfully) that are hard to move in the post and will create mismatch problems. Jones is an athletic freak with a quick first step and unreal size and length for a SF/PF. Stucky/Hayes are solid pieces as well.

ya aight i've been careful w/ blockbusters w/ BI all game bc he's so good at winning those trades but here i get the superstar (giving up two top 10 picks though) in bosh. he gets crap for being 3rd of wade and james on a team. there's a reason he got signed to a max contract though over the summer. YA. rondo/new SG/pierce/bosh/pau and JTerry 6th man is gonna be sick.

#308 Houston and Golden State have a trade:

Houston sends: Al Jefferson($15,000,000) + Ronnie Brewer($4,370,000) = $19,370,000

Golden State sends: Emeka Okafor($13,490,000) + Dejuan Blair($1,054,000) + Patty Mills($1,000,000) = $15,544,000 x 1.25 = $19,430,000

Houston accepts. I think I'm selling Al a little short here, but I like the fit Blair and Okafor have with LMA. Both are good to great rebounders and Okafor provides good defense and size as a true center, while being fairly efficient on offense.

Shaking it up a bit. Brewer will be the nice depth guy.

Trade#309: Washington Wizards and New Orleans Hornets

Posting just as an agreement for now. Trade will commence on January 31, when FAs are allowed to be traded.

Washington Wizards send:
Brook Lopez
Tristan Thompson
Arron Afflalo
Boris Diaw

Total: $28,856,740

New Orleans Hornets send:
DeMarcus Cousins
Rodney Stuckey
Ray Allen
Chuck Hayes

Total: $26,367,050

Was torn on this, and hate overpaying a bit, but I had to jump at the chance to pair DMC with Kyrie. He has some attitude problems, but he's a franchise talent at the scarce center position, and should form a dynamic duo with the polar opposite in Kyrie. I hate that I lose TT, but I do have Humphries. Afflalo's also a nice piece, but I like the solid vets coming back.

I also wanted to shake things up since my future financial flexibility was looking bleak with Batum/Lopez/Afflalo on the books when TT/Kyrie would extensions.

Overall, I feel decent about the trade. Good dealing BlackIce.

Lopez is 23, and has pretty good upside. 20ppg from the C position is nice and Sullinger/Lowry will help offset his weak rebounding. Afflalo is a perfect fit beside Lowry and gives us elite perimeter defense at the 1 and 2 spots. TT is a nice piece that gives us flexibility going forward and Diaw at 2.5 mill is a bargain.

NOH and NYK have reached an agreement to be made official on the 31st. If we need to repost on the 31st we shall.

NOH outgoing:
Wilson Chandler $13,500,000
Kyle Lowry $5,750,000
total: $19,250,000

NYK outgoing:
Russel Westbrook $15,000,000

Russ is a top tier PG. He is young and athletic, he can attack the basket like few others and is improving his decision making.

Milwaukee and New Orleans have agreed to a trade.

Bucks out:
Harrison Barnes - $4,133,280
= $4,133,280

Hornets out:
Jared Sullinger - $3,726,600
Perry Jones - $3,065,040
= $6,791,640

We have the extra cap room to absorb the incoming salary. It is very difficult to part ways with Barnes, especially so quickly, but we just felt like this value was too good to pass up. Sullinger gives us a nice post-presence alongside JaVale and we love PJ3's potential and skill-set.

Shouldn't be any issues with this trade. Barnes has the chance to be a special player, a better Deng or peak Granger is what I see. Bit of an overpay but is gives me a young starting 5 with plenty of upside.

CHI accepts. we're not bored, just hard at work. we finally reunite rondo and smith...been waiting for this all game. thabo will start for us at the 2 and terry will move back to 6th man role. taj is a great asset to welcome back to the windy city!

rondo/thabo/pierce/smoove/gasol........easily best defensive team out there, yet i have rondo and pierce's penetration ability, rondo, pierce, and smoove can all facilitate, thabo can easily spot up, pierce can iso, and gasol can dominate the inside. my team's coming together quite nicely. i lose bosh's scoring ability a bit but i have scorers and i get deeper with this move. farmar's one of the best back up pgs out there (will likely move fish).

Well, I was bored as well.
But even still, Wesley Matthews + J.R. Smith is a very nice SG combo.
Dammit...:

I've got Nurkic fever now.

Trade 313

NEW JERSEY AND DETROIT ANNOUNCE A DEAL

The Nets will send PF Tyler Hansbrough to the Pistons for PF Jimmer Fredette. Tyler makes $3.055M and Jimeer will be paid $2.334M so the deal works.

The Nets felt that they were lacking back court depth and think Jimmer has great potential.

Great Dealing with you Detroit.

Detroit accepts. We just traded a third-string PG for our new starting PF. No brainer!
