We're doing it for the pick and Hayes is redundant when AV can do something similar.
We get the first we're seeking for Hayes.

Atlanta accepts. Slightly complicated 2 part trade, but it nets me the Chuck Wagon, who is a fantastic post defender and can accompany either Hibbert or Boozer in the front court, fitting well with my team's mentality. He's a solid rebounder too (16+ TRB%), which is good.
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.

TRADE #351

MEM and WAS

MEM gets:
Udonis Haslem $4,060,000
Rudy Fernandez $4,000,000

WAS gets:
George Hill $5,000,000
BJ Mullens $2,200,000
2013 ATL 1st

Salary is close enough 8M to 7,2M.
We needed veterans around our young core and Haslem fits that and Rudy is another explosive scorer off the bench.

Rudy's having a good year, but George Hill is a PG/SG sixth man who we're really high on. He's a great pace-changer and all-around scorer/defender. We're glad to consolidate a little bit and get back two nice pieces in Mullens and a 2013 1st as well.

353#

NOH and OKC have a trade to announce.

NOH outgoing:
Andrea Bargnani $10,000,000
Boris Diaw $2,500,000
Harrison Barnes $4,133,280
Jrue Holiday $1,741,440
total: $18,374,720

OKC outgoing:
Deron Williams $18,000,000
Grant hill. $2,500,000
Aaron Gray $854,000
Nenad Kristic $854,000
total: $22,208.000

Hill can start in a pitch and the other two pieces are depth. Deron Williams on a solid team is a top 2 PG that can do it all, a top 10 player at age 27. Even on the terrible nets he is average 20/4/9. I am going in a bit more of a win now direction with this move, but I still have a pretty young core so I'm ok with this,

I believe this is #354.

Miami in / Detroit out:
Ramon Sessions - $4,551,626

Detroit in / Miami out:
Raymond Felton - $7,500,000
Dexter Pittman - $854,389 (non-guaranteed)
Total - $8,354,389

Difference in salaries is <$4M, and Detroit has something like $26M in cap space. Miami should also get a TPE equal to the difference in salaries.

Miami accepts. I think Sessions is better suited to play off the bench behind Teague, and the salary difference will get me below the luxury tax line.

Detroit accepts. We feel Felton is a great addition to mentor his fellow UNC alum Kendall Marshall. We are aware of the longterm salary commitment to Felton, but feel his contributions to this team both on and off the court make his contract an easier pill to swallow.

Note: Prior to making this deal, the Detroit Pistons waive Jason Maxiell in order to stay below roster limits.

Trade 355

NEW JERSEY & SACRAMENTO MAKE DEAL

New Jersey will send PF JuJuan Johnson (1.089M) and Jimmer Fredette (2.406M) to the Kings in exchange for Jonas Jerebko (4.5M) and PG Greivis Vasquez (1.191). Since the Nets are 10M under the cap they can absorb this salary.

Nets are very please to get these 2 young talents who are in positions of greater need than Jimmer, who they hate to see go. Nice dealing with you Tully - I like these quick win win deals.

We get a nice young talent in Gee and our backcourt is crowded....also, Birdman scares away female fans

#357 Houston and Washington have a trade:

Houston sends: Corey Brewer($3,243,000)

Washington sends: Larry Sanders($1,991,760) + Josh Childress($1,200,000) = $3,191,760

Houston accepts. I like Brewer since he hustles, plays d and is a good guy, but we have somewhat of a crowded wing rotation, so we pickup a nice young big who has good athleticism. Childress can play if needed to as well.

Conley is somewhat underrated, 13/3/7 and 2.5 stls and is a good shooter and quite young. Solid defender as well. Bosh is Bosh.

New Jersey is please to add SG Marco Belinelli for Udoh - who is a nice prospect, but is at a position in which we have outstanding "potential". Marco can bring the instant offense off the bench now and we appreciate the cash, Pick and TPE that will all be nice future assets.

Washington accepts. Corey's a huge and athletic young wing who can defend. He'll be a nice piece off the bench.

#359: PORTLAND AND WASHINGTON

Portland sends:
$08,278,500 - Marvin Williams
$01,905,360 - Marcus Morris

$10,183,860 - Total

Washington sends:
$08,000,000 - Tyrus Thomas
$01,500,000 - Kosta Koufos

$09,500,000 - Total

Deal.
We were loaded on SF's so moving Marvin was needed. I really like Thomas' athleticism and he knows how to use it. Koufos can be a nice replacement/filler guy. Nice doing business.
Dammit...:

I've got Nurkic fever now.

Deal. I like Tyrus but Marvin's a young, solid wing who's having a great year so far. Morris is also another nice piece that we can trade/keep.

Another reason was that Marvin only has two years left, and won't be on the books when Cousins would need an extension.
