Own a Team - Trades

Post#1 » by roc » Thu Apr 26, 2012 7:11 am

Trade Thread Rules

1. This thread is ONLY for trades, do not clutter it up with discussions IF you disregard this you will be fined and your post deleted.

2. All trades must be numbered

3. Make sure rosters are up to date before posting trade as per the rules listed in roster thread or you will be fined.

4. All sides must agree to trade within 24 hours or it will not be approved and will need to be reposted.

5. All salaries must be listed and all math shown to fall within 150% + $100,000 for non taxpaying teams or 125% +$100,000 for taxpaying teams. If this is ignored the trade will be denied and you will be fined.

6. If a traded player has the mini amnesty used on him by the trading team he will count as the old contract for the original team and the new contract for the receiving team.

7. We will stick with the old CBA version for money transactions in trades which means up to $3mil can change hands per trade.

8. Once roster limits go into effect all trades must stay within the 12 to 15 player limit. If you need to sign or waive a player to make this happen do so before making the trade or you guessed it... you will be fined.

9. All approved trades will be posted in the 'Trade Approval' thread.

FINES = $500,000 for 1st offense, each subsequent offense will cost 25% more than the previous fine.

TRADING WILL COMMENCE AT 12:00pm EST April 26

PDX 2012 1st (unprotected)
total: $9,527,365 ($14,527,365)

SEA outgoing:
Kevin Durant $15,506,632

Seattle Sonics are back and we accept this trade.

We wanted to get rid of anyone that was part of the original Sonics departure and Durant was the biggest player name on that list.

He is a great player no doubt but we are starting this thing our way. LMA will be welcomed with open arms and with $5mil off his salary is an extremely great bargain. Batum and the draft picks will be great assets for us as we retool and turn this team into what we envision for our future.

Welcome to Seattle guys!

Toronto and Philly have a trade to announce.

Tor sends:

Calderon $9,780,991
Bargnani $9,250,000
Kleiza $4,605,000
DeRozan $2,625,000
Mia 2nd 2012
Tor 2nd 2012
= $26,260,911

Phi sends:

Iggy $13,531,750
Turner $4,947,840
Brackins $1,404,960
Battie $854,389
Allen $473,604
= 21,212,543 * 1,25 = 26,515,678

$26,515,678 > $26,260,911 > Trade works.

Why? We weren't interested in that Mission Europe. Iggy and Turner are nice players to build around.

We accept. Calderon will be Lou's replacement and finally a true PG. Getting Bargnani is nice.

Milwaukee and Phoenix have a trade to announce.

Bucks out:
Kwame Brown - ($6,750,000)
Milwaukee's 2012 1st
Total = $6,750,000

Suns out:
Marcin Gortat - ($6,790,640)
Total = $6,790,640

The Bucks feel like Marcin is one of the best centers in the league, and better than any player we could potentially get at #12 in the draft. There was a void created at C when Bogut left town, so we fill that void with Gortat. Good dealing, Phoenix.

We loved Gortat's production in PHX - but we have an aggressive strategy for a unique build, and Marcin was not a part of that plan. Kwame's expiring will give us additional cap room and we love the MIL 1st for obvious reasons.

#4 San Antonio and Atlanta have a trade to announce.

San Antonio Trade

Tiago Splitter - $3,672,000
Kawhi Leonard - $1,731,960
DeJuan Blair - $986,000
Matt Bonner - $3,315,000
Patrick Mills - $854,389

Total = $10,559,349 (* 1.25 + $100k = $13,299,186)
The Spurs will also send the maximum $3m cash to Atlanta as part of the deal.

Atlanta Hawks Trade

Josh Smith - $12,400,000 - (works within the 125% rule as above)

followed by:

Jason Collins & Vlad Radmanovic - both $854,389 for nothing. Works as they are both mins.

The Spurs are going all in here. We love Josh Smith and think he can thrive in a high IQ environment under Gregg Popovich. It is hard giving up on Leonard's potential and Splitter is showing he's a legit starting C in the league, but I'm eager to make my mark on this franchise.
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.

Atlanta does it. We like trades. We like this trade. We like Sas. We like Patty Mills, we're still refining the Patty Mills's Australian Rules drinking game, but it makes the trade worthwhile by itself.

#5: UTA and DEN have agreed to a trade:

To Utah:
Wilson Chandler ($7,400,000)
Andre Miller ($7,807,728)

Total: 15,207,728

To Denver:
Al Jefferson ($14,000,000)
Jamaal Tinsley ($1,229,255)

Total: 15,229,255

Salaries are close enough, deal works.

UTA accepts. I do lose a 19/10 big, but Jefferson wasn't much on defense, and that's not they way I wanted to build my team. Chandler is the perfect 2 way SF, who can score, get to the rim, make stuff happen and pressure opposing players when he is on D. Miller is a great backup on a friendly contract.

Denver Accept :
We add a 20/10 Big to our big rotation that has a top 5 shot blocker and the manimal.
Miller is a FA and Chandler is expendable with our current roster.

PDX and DEN have a trade to announce.

PDX outgoing:
Raymond Felton $7,560,000
Hasheem Thabeet $5,127,720
Jonny Flynn $3,414,720
total: $16,102,440

DEN outgoing:
Arron Afflalo $7,562,500
Al Harrington $6,226,200
Chris Andersen $4,234,000
total: $18,022,700

Salary is close enough, deal works.

Confirmed. We give up our expiring contracts for a nasty perimeter defender in Afflalo who can also score. 15/3/2 on 47/39 and a top 5 perimeter defender, Afflalo is a nice fit beside Durant. Harrington is an elite 6th man (14/6) and Anderson is a shot blocking big. Great dealing DEN.

Denver accept the trade

We re able to get around 18 mil in cap space for this summer but for the price of Afflalo.
Harrington and Anderson were not in our plan for the future and were the only 2 bad contract on our roster (Harrington lenght and Anderson too old for is 3 years left.
We re ready to spend big this summer !

LeBron = $11,022,500 ($16,022,500)

for

Westbrook = $5,082,416
Cook = $3,341,558
Aldrich = $2,286,000

Total = $10,709,974 x 1.25 = $13,387,467 > $11,022,500

now that the math is out of the way...

We do this trade to get LeBron plain and simple; Westbrook is a great player but we could not pass this up. We also lose a couple nice, cheap assets and the PDX pick but we can live with that.

Now we need a PG. :P

Trade accepted

New Jersey Sends:

Kyrie Irving - $5,144,280
Johan Petro - $3,250,000
2013 NJN 1st
2014 NJN 1st
~$8,394,280

Chicago Sends:

Derrick Rose - $6,993,708
Brian Scalabrine - $854,389
~$7,848,097

We do it because Derrick Rose is a legit superstar and we want to compete now. Kyrie Irving is a future MVP candidate, but we feel like Rose is already there. The extra picks were worth feeding our impatience!

Royal Ivey -$1,200,000
