#100 PORTLAND AND HOUSTON

Portland trades:
Nick Young ($($3,695,857)
POR 2012 2nd Rnd Pick (Option to swap with Denver)

Houston trades:
Anthony Morrow ($4,000,000)

Deal.
Nick is an UFA and will get the playing time and money in Houston.

Houston accepts. We like Young a little better and should have the money to bring him back.

#101:

Blockbuster between New Orleans Hornets and GSW:

GSW out:

Samuel Dalembert $7,000,000
David Lee $11,610,000
Wesley Matthews $6,135,160
Dorell Wright $3,823,000
Stephen Curry $3,117,120
GSW 2013 1st

Total: $31,685,280

NOH out:

Dwyane Wade $15,691,000
Al Harrington $6,226,200
Raymond Felton $7,560,000

Total: $29,477,200

Too lazy to do the math, so: Close enough deal works

I hate myself for doing this move. We drastically overpay for D.Wade and we probably help BlackIce win the third game in a row, but it's you, other GM's to blame! You didn't provide me good trade offers, so i have to turn everything around. Hopefully we can collect a decent team next to our newly aquired superstar..

We grab Stephen Curry, a beast who has to play beside Ellis, a guy who doesn't compliment him. Curry should be beside a catch and shoot SG, not one that dominants the ball. The other pieces make the deal worth giving up the 3rd best player in the league for, bridging the gap between Curry and Wade. Dally is 2.5 blocks per game, Matthews is a great defender and 3 point shooter and Wright is that SF we have been looking for.

Trade 102

HORNETS GET THEIR MAN / NEW JERSEY CASHES IN

The New Orleans Hornets have acquired DERON WILLIAMS in a Six player deal. In addition to Williams, the Hornets have acquired Reggie Williams and BJ Mullens. (16.359, 2.5 & 1.288M = 20.147 total)
In exchange the Nets will receive PG Stephen Curry. SF Dorrell Wright and Center/PF David Lee along with the 2012 1st round picks of GSW, NJN and Portland.
David Lee $11,610,000, Dorell Wright $3,823,000, Stephen Curry $3,117,120 (18.7M)

While the Nets regret losing Deron, there was a major concern that the failure to bring Howard to the team would result in Deron opting out. Obviously, the Hornets wanted Deron and made an offer we could not refuse. Once again, Blackice takes the best player and make you feel good about it. Great dealing. You had me at "you there"!

We feel Deron can lead this team to a title, with an appropriate 2nd option. Deron can score, pass, defend, etc. We are now concentrating on staving off all the teams that have caproom that are targeting him.

#103 Houston and NOH have a trade:

NOH trades: Kevin Martin($11,519,840) + Patrick Patterson($1,959,960) + Gerald Henderson($2,250,600) + Kendrick Perkins($7,373,626) + Samuel Dalembert($7,000,000) + Wesley Matthews($6,135,160) = $36,239,186

Houston trades:
Dirk Nowitzki($19,092,873) + Antawn Jamison($15,076,715) + TJ Ford($854,389) + DJ Mbenga($854,389) + Jamario Moon($854,389) + Sonny Weems($854,389) = $37,587,144

Houston accepts. Trading Dirk is tough, but he wasn't getting the value we thought was right for him. Martin, Perkins, Dalembert, Matthews are already real nice players, and Henderson is turning into a really good SG as well. Patrick Patterson is also a nice prospect that can play with his old college teamate DeMarcus Cousins.

We pay a boatload but get DWill that 2nd option (or 1st option?) that he needs. We also open max caproom for a certain center in 2012.

Houston and Atlanta have agreed on a trade

Monta Ellis ($11,000,000)
Jameer Nelson ($7,800,000)
2012 ATL and 2012 PHX 2nds

Total = $18,800,000

for

Kevin Martin ($11,519,840)
Wes Matthews ($6,135,160)

Total = $17,655,000

Atlanta does this to get rid of its PG glut and get a couple of great wing players. We now have a starting lineup of Mo/Martin/Gay/Jefferson/Varejao, while still maintaining some great depth.

Houston accepts. We had a lot of wings and we upgrade to get a top 5 SG who is still only 26 years old. Jameer should be a steady vet to man the PG spot.

#106: San Antonio and Minnesota

San Antonio sends
2014 SAS 2nd
TPE:$4,347,334 <--- TPE is 100% + 100k so that's 4.44m max.

Minnesota sends
Daniel Gibson $4,403,834

Everyone clearing cap space and so are we. Beside with Maynor as backup PG we don't really see much minutes for Boobie.

Trade # 107 - PHX & POR

Pheonix Sends
Nikola Pekovic - $4,503,600
Wayne Ellington - $1,154,040
2012 NYK 1st

Portland Sends
Kyle Korver - $5,000,000
Cole Aldrich - $2,286,000

PHX Outgoing - $5,657,640
POR Outgoing - $7,286,000

Phoenix is well under the cap and can absorb the additional salary.

Why for Phoenix
This was a small, but exciting move for the Phoenix front office. Korver. Can. Shoot. And we like our shooters here in Phoenix. Although giving up the NYK seems like a lot, it was done in part for the diference in future salaries and because we like what Korver brings to the team more than the potential of NYK's 1st round draft choice.

Portland gladly accepts.
Ellington is an underrated shooter and Pekovic is an underrated big who both will see some PT with the many different lineups we run. Oh yeah, a 1st isn't bad either.

Trade #108

MEM and DET

MEM gets:
Greg Monroe $3,007,920
Jonas Jerebko $3,575,000
2012 LAL 1st

DET gets:
Marc Gasol $13,000,000
Dejuan Blair $986,000

there is a 7.5M difference but DET is 10M under the cap so he can absorb the additional cap.

Detroit accepts. We were initially going to keep Monroe, but the ability to acquire Gasol to anchor the Detroit defense was too much to pass up. Blair has a work ethic that will make him loved in Detroit.

NOH and DEN have a trade to announce.

NOH outgoing:
Dirk Nowitzki $19,092,873
Reggie Williams $2,500,000
Sonny Weems $854,389
TJ Ford $854,389
total: $23,301,651

DEN outgoing:

Nene Hilario $13,000,000
Arron Affalo $8,600,000
Kenneth Faried $1,254,720
DEN 2012 1st
NOH 2013 1st
NYK 2014 1st
DEN 2014 1st
total: $22,854,720

Dirk is a legit superstar and we are sad to see him go. That being said Nene is a top tier big man that is defending better after being called out by his coach. Nene is the only real big man on the Nuggets roster and can do a bit of everything. We like him a lot. Afflalo is one of the best perimeter defenders in the league and can hit the 3 at a high rate. Kenneth Faried is a nice prospect. We also get a ton of picks.

Denver accepts. In what has turned out to be a whirlwind of a day on the road, we've made some big acquisitions to remake or roster. Dirk is the key to the deal here, and we're happy to bring him on board.

Milwaukee and Denver have a trade to announce.

Bucks out:
Joe Johnson ($18,038,570)
Shawne Williams ($2,000,000)
$3 million cash
Total = $20,038,570

Nuggets out:
Danilo Gallinari ($4,190,182)
Carl Landry ($9,000,000)
Jordan Hamilton ($1,073,280
Trey Johnson ($854,389)
Total = $15,117,851 100% + $5,000,000 = $20,117,851

With the $3 million in cash we send to Denver paired with the 100% plus $5 million rule, this deal works financially.

The Bucks do this deal too acquire players that better fit our rebuilding efforts. We are sad to see a great player like Joe go, but we are excited for him and his opportunity to go play with Dirk in Denver. We love Gallo and Hamilton as future pieces. Carl Landry is a nice expiring / trade piece.

Great dealing.

Denver accepts. We decided that if we were going to get Dirk, then a shooter like Joe Johnson had to come along as well. We're excited to give both these players a last shot at a championship. Great dealing to both GMs we worked with here.

TRADE #111

New Jersey Nets and Sacramento Kings have agreed to the following trade:

New Jersey Nets receive:
SG Klay Thompson ($2,126,520)
PG Isiah Thomas ($473,604)
2012 1st RND (Worst pick owned by Sacramento (SAC (Lotto), CHI, BOS)

Sacramento Kings receive:
PF/C Donatas Motiejūnas ($1,134,500)
PF/C Jordan Williams ($473,604)
2012 New Jersey 1st RND (Unprotected)

Kings agree to this deal as we were crowded at the SG position and we like the potential of Williams and Motiejunas as well as the draft pick position.
