Re: Christmas GMAT: Discussion Thread
So we are doing rankings when the writeup deadline hasn't even passed?

The order in the beginning of the discussion thread is off. Write-ups were due two days after trading closes, and then rankings were two days after write-ups were due.

I looked on the writeup thread...says January 26th which is today...and rankings due two days after on the 28th...so my question is why are rankings being done when the deadline for writeups has not passed?

For what it's worth, I was able to get my writeup in.

Since I wasn't clear about exactly when the write-ups were due, I'll have those that already ranked re-rank.

Re: Christmas GMAT: Discussion Thread
I thought we were playing GM-a-Team, not Own-a-Team?
Every single GM's ranking has knocked me down based on the Grizzlies financial situation? If an Owner wants a GM to "Win-now", that means build the best possible team for the current season. I felt that is exactly what I accomplished? Besides that, I still have more young talent & future expiring's than most of the "re-builds", yet all comments point back to the salary cap situation which is an Ownership issue, not a GM issue... Feelings are hurt

While it isn't Own-A-Team, the ridiculous payroll is being docked. You're in salary cap hell assuming you locked in Dirk to a new contract after this one. Just a ton of salary.

Sounds good to me. Wouldn't mind having a co-commish if someone else wants to join me.

Re: Christmas GMAT: Discussion Thread
Maybe CHA_77 can do the draft as well? I remember the days when one person did all of this . It seems its better the fewer commishes we have, and FA is a big responsibility, so its fine with 2. But I'm not trying to force anyone into anything, if you cant do it/are too busy, I understand.

I think I am too. But I really want to see what we decide to do on FA.

Yeah I think I'm going to wait on that.
I'd also like to know what other rules need to be implemented/removed/altered.
