"All Star Weekend" GMAT Sign ups

Post#1 » by cainepelicans » Mon Feb 17, 2014 7:28 am

This is the sign up thread for the new GMAT a team game.
Please read everything in this post! Some rules have been changed slightly!

Rules:

1.) All rosters must be completely up-to-date before trades will be approved. See roster thread for more details regarding what must be included in your roster post. I will be super strict with roster pages. You will not be able to trade If your roster gets out of date. If you have not got your roster page up to date the trade or free agent signing will not be allowed.

2.) Trades will be approved as soon as I and anyone who may help will be able to as long as they meet all roster/CBA requirements.

3.) I reserve the right to veto trades as league manager should I feel the trade is collaboration. (Ness's system) If I feel a trade is game threatening bad, (or I receive 5 emails from other GMs) I will create a new thread with a voting poll for it. Veto or not. The league will decide as a whole. You will not flood the discussion thread with bashing and hate against the GM or GMs. You will send me an email. That is all.

4.) In this "veto" thread each team will have ONE - 150 word post to state their case, as to why it shouldn't be vetoed. These cases should be taken into consideration when voting yea or no to the deal. Once the thread is up, it will be left open for 24 hours. At least 70% to get the deal vetoed. This will be the only discussion about the trade. That is all.

5a.) Money will be in play this game. Each team starts out with 3,000,000. Buyouts will be 500k more then the total salary.

6a.) Salary cap is set at 60 million, luxury tax is set at 75 million, and the hard tax is set at 100,000,000. Minimum is 45,000,000.

7.) Free agent contract limitations will be based on the CBA.

8.) Teams must spend at least 75% of the cap during the “regular season.”

9.) Draft order will be based on submitted rankings and then the draft order will be done through the RealGM Lottery Simulator.

10.) Final game rankings will be based on how much your team has progressed from beginning to the end. This will be a general ranking system as which many are used too. This is Gm a team not own a team. Simple = better.

11a.) You may only trade picks four years in advance, so 2019 max. We are playing until - to be decided

11b.) There are no restrictions on picks traded.

11c.) All trades should state clearly protections involved.

11d.) All protections must be listed on picks, even future picks.

12.) In order to be crowned winner, full write-ups and rankings must be submitted.

13a.) Failure to give me proper notice that you need a replacement will result in a suspension from these games for one game after this one.

13b.) It's up to the commish of the next game to enforce this rule.

14.) I reserve the right, as commish, to add rules as I deem fit to protect the integrity of the game.

15.) If you lose a FA in Free agency, you will not quit. You will not complain, and you will continue playing the game. If you get a trade vetoed, you will not quit, you will continue playing and you will finish it out with full write ups and rankings. If so, you will not be able to play the next game as well.

16.) FA will be fair. I will not go by highest dollar value wins the player. It will be determined on how the player feels. Ray Allen will not sign a 3 year deal with the Bobcats at 2 million per, but rather sign for the minimum with the Miami Heat for one year. It will be realistic. It will be money first, fit second, but fit will be weighted higher then usual. I hate seeing guys go to rebuilding teams because they have more cash. That's not how it works in real life and not how it works in THIS game.

Breakdown of responsibilities:

Approve Trades: cainepelicans, keshmoney

Draft: cainepelicans

Free Agency: keshmoney

Playoffs: klo42ve

Playoff/Draft Rankings - Write ups - Final Rankings: EVERY GM!!!

SCHEDULE:

Day 2: Trading
Day 14: Trading ends

Rest to be determined soon....

IF YOU WANT TO PLAY:

F it, it's been almost 3 years since I've been them, and I Love the challenge.

Give me the Los Angeles Lakers again.

Also,

The winner gets second choice (technically first but I know no one wants the Lakers)

OakleysCarWash and Kingers top 3 teams should be taken into consideration the most (FA and Draft)

I will sen out an invitation email to the 150 plus emails I have later.

I'll play for the first time since last summer...do I get any special consideration for teams since I did FA in the last game?
