Write-up:
Being a Philadelphia 76ers fan since the 2013 offseason has been one hell of a roller coaster ride. Trading away all-star point guard Jrue Holiday for draft picks, essentially exploding the team... then general manager extraordinaire Biz Gilwalker took over the job and blew the team to smithereens, yielding the following roster and a number of very high 2014 and 2015 draft picks.

Bismack Biyombo/Pero Antic
Derrick Williams/Quincy Acy/Arnett Moutrie
Giannis Antetokounmpo/Chris Copeland/Carrick Felix/Quincy Pondexter(IR)
Alexey Shved/John Jenkins(IR)
Tony Wroten/Quincy Douby

The crap-tastic nature of this team got the #2 overall pick, and with other picks and trades, a draft day including Philly nabbing Andrew Wiggins, Dante Exum, Doug McDermott, Montrezl Harrell, and Zach Lavine with five of the first 20 picks was a massive success, having 76er fans partying in the Philly street for days. But the best was yet to come.

Wiggins, Exum, and LaVine, along with a boat load of other assets were traded to the Clippers for the dynamic duo of Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, catapulting the team from worst record in the league, to tops of the Eastern Conference in just one season. Narrowly losing in the conference finals, Biz Gilwalker vowed to get Philly to the Finals and likely did that. Pulling off a pair of wild blockbusters, the current roster is built for a championship run. Gilwalker turned the team around, and the 76ers are competing for a title, when many fans expected to be looking forward to the NBA draft again.

THE ROTATION:

Tyson Chandler (24) / Larry Sanders (24) / Andrew Bynum (reserve)
Blake Griffin (30) / Gorgui Dieng (18 + reserve center minutes)
Nicolas Batum (30) / Klay Thompson (30) / Shane Battier (reserve) / Omri Casspi (reserve)
Stephen Curry (30) / Monta Ellis (30) / Anthony Morrow (reserve)
Tony Parker (24) / Jordan Farmar (reserve) / #26 pick (D-League)

First of all, Stephen Curry and Blake Griffin are likely at or near their peaks in 2016, as are Nicolas Batum, Klay Thompson, and Larry Sanders. Monta Ellis is still a fantastic scorer off the bench, Dieng will be 26 and rounding into peak form. Tony Parker and Tyson Chandler are likely past their primes, but the crazy depth allows them to get plenty of rest, saving their best for the playoffs, San Antonio style. If Parker needs a break, Stephen Curry is likely a top 3 point guard in the league by 2016 (isn't he already?) and if Chandler needs a break, Larry Sanders can play more minutes, and Andrew Bynum will always be waiting. So will a more experienced Dieng. There are practically unlimited options there. All four centers provide great defense at the rim, while a peak 27-year-old Blake Griffin does everything else. Nicolas Batum will be like a Marion-esque "super-role-player". The highly versatile nature of Batum fits perfectly on this team.

This team's bench could school plenty of starting units. We likely choose to stagger the playing time of Curry and Parker, so that a top point guard is playing at all times. The options are endless, as the team is legitimately nine-deep with very good starting-caliber players, ten if you include Andrew Bynum. But three things you can count on- lots of scoring (Curry, Blake, Parker, Ellis, and Thompson are all major scoring threats), lots of lobs (Parker, Curry, Ellis, Batum, and even Griffin are very good at throwing alley-oops. Chandler, Sanders, and that Griffin guy are also pretty good at receiving them), and fantastic interior defense (Chandler has a DPOY to his name, Sanders at his best, is an All-D team candidate, Dieng is solid, and Bynum takes up a ton of space when healthy).

So many weapons. So many possibilities. So many wins. So many championships. So many laughs in MadNess's face after beating his Lakers 4-0 in the Finals. So many 1st place votes for Biz Gilwalker in GM A Team... ?

Draft picks:
No until 2021. Traded them away to get the team better.

Write Up:

First off, I am a huge Minnesota Timberwolves and have not seen a winning team since the trade of KG to Boston. My goal these games was to bring back a championship to Minnesota and make them a contender for the rest of these games. I won the championship in the first year and the second year, I went 7 games against the Champions in the Lakers. We will still be top team in the league for years to come.

Also, a shootout to Caines and Kesh for running these games. And to the other GMs who helped when needed and stayed till the end. With out you guys there is no games. I can not wait until the next games. Thanks to Ness, for creating a team to compete with the Wolves out in the west, without you it would just be to easy (just kidding thou). The West is really tough, just like RL. Kesh thanks for running a smooth FA and for all the owners who either took a second team or a team, even thou they were not playing.

PG: Avery Bradley / Aaron Craft / Devin Harris >> Ricky Rubio / Jose Barea / A.J. Price

We started with a PG who is a great passer and can play defense but we did not want to pay him 10+ million a year and we replaced him with Bradley a PG that still is a great defender and passer. We fixed the backup PG also. We added the great defender PG in Craft who is an underrated PG.

SG: Demar DeRozan / Quincy Pondexter >>>>> Kevin Martin / Alexey Shved / Robbie Hummel

K-Mart is a shooter, do not get me wrong but he can not really play defense. He is also overpaid to add to that. I added DeRozan who is one of the up and coming SG in the league. We added the Pondexter to be his backup who is a great shooter and can play great defense.

SF: Jimmy Butler / Danny Granger >>>>>>>>>>>>> Corey Brewer / Chase Budinger / Shabazz Muhammad

I do not even know where to start on this one. Butler is on of the best defender who can stop any of the top scorers in the league. Granger might not be the same player as he once was, but he is still able to score 20 if needed be but with this team he does not need to be that type of player. Brewer and Chase can be good and Shabazz has great potential but we just do not know what he will turn into.

PF: Carmelo Anthony / Dirk Nowitzki / Marvin Williams > Kevin Love / Dante Cunningham / Luc Mbah a Moute

Here is where it could be thought of were I took a step back. I traded Love twice these games and in those two trades I got Melo, A LOT of picks, Butler, and Gasol. I am replacing Love with a combination of Melo and Dirk. I replace one of the top 5 players in the league (Love) with a player who is in the top 10 (Melo) and a player who will be in the hall (Dirk). I might be losing some in the rebounding but not in the scorer department.

CC: Marc Gasol / Omer Asik / Boris Diaw > Nikola Pekovic / Ronny Turiaf / Gorgui Dieng

I like Pek, but I replace him with Gasol a DPOY and Asik who is one of the underrated defender in the league. I do not think I need to explain anything else here.

This team is able to go up against Lakers and beat them. Minny's 2nd unit is better then most teams first unit. The 2nd unit is going to be PG: Harris or Craft SG: Pondexter SF: Granger PF: Dirk CC: Asik, that unit has great mix of defense and offense, vets and young guys. We will be champions again this season and we stay on top for a while.

Write Up:

My plan for the Grizzlies kinda went to crap once I lost some FA and I had to do a 180 and re-build them around Milsap, Turner, and Larkin.

The plan this off-season will to offer KD the max contract and the main selling point is playing next to Milsap and Turner.

That is my write up. I was doing good until I lost out on Deng and Pierce, which hurt the Grizzlies plans and caused us to change the direction.

It was fun thou.

Write up:

First, just want to say: Big shout outs to Kesh, TC, Biz (almost 4got Klove! My heads not quite there yet) and Caine for helping run the game smoothly. I helped in every way I could, but with out you guys, the game wouldn't have been what it was

ALSO! A big shout out to all the GM's that played the entire game, with out quiting. Mad props to you fellas too! The more great GM's = the more the game. Thanks for playing guys!

Let's get it:

I turned a Lakers team with the fifth worst record in the league into an absolute DYNASTY.

The original Lakers had terrible contracts like Nash and Kobe, and the rest were all expiring contracts. The only valuable asset at the time was my 2014 draft pick. This pick was probably a lottery pick, but again, this was my only TRUE asset.

I turned all of that mess into Paul Geroge and a lot of cap space. I then turned Paul George into Curry and Klay, aka the splash Bros aka the best shooting back court of all time.

These guys set up nicely with A.) A great magnet for FA and B.) A great tandem moving forward.

I then made a miraculous pitch to sign Lebron James and Chris Bosh to maximum contracts.

Once that was over and they signed with us, we had our coir of four guys.

Curry, Klay, Lebron, and Bosh. That was it. Nothing else. I literally turned NOTHING into he second best center in the league, Mr. Marc Gasol.

We then had our starting 5 ready for the rest of the game.

I wanted to finish the game with those guys, until I figured out to get Chris Paul AND Dwight Howard. The best point guard in the league and the best center in the league. Pair those two with the best player in the league and another top 5 big man, who fits in perfectly, and that my friends on a Dynasty.

Don't forget about Iman Shumpert as well. He is an Elite 3 and D player and will thrive in his new role.

This new Lakers team is dominate. Literally dominate. We could contend for the best record (72+ games) every year. We have LOCK down defense at every position, we have guys who can score at will. We have a nice benc of vets and youth, who compliment each other greatly.

Also let's talk about our salary. The Lakers have proven to spend when they can win. And I mean in the 90's of millions of dollars. We're Los Angeles the team that doesn't care about money. Teams like Minnesota and Philadelphia have very unrealistic salaries. Glen Taylor would crap his pants to spend that kind of money in Minnesota.

Top 10 reasons I deserve to win:

1.) Got rid of Nash
2.) Got value for Kobe
3.) Traded for Paul George who eventually becam Curry and Klay
4.) Made the pitch of a lifetime and convinced Lebron and Bosh to play for LA
5.) Turned absolutely nothing into Marc Gasol
6.) Eventually acquired Chris Paul and Dwight Howard
7.) Made a team that fits together, Defensive, Offense, Spacing, Chemistry.
8.) Completed all of my goals.
9.) We won the 2014/2015 title
10.) I had fun. I didn't quit, I completed all aspects of the game, and took on a second team, which I also turned into a contender in the East.

Just remember one thing when doing your rankings: the TRIFECTA. Best win now team, best win future team and the best overall team.

Chris Bosh, Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Lebron James. Enough said. Best team ever created in the history of GMAT or own a team.

And I did that with the team that currently holds the 5th worst record in the league.

Vote Lakers, because it's the right thing to do.

I could have worked wonders with this team given more time.

I really like what I came up with though.

This team would contend for the east for the next few years.

We would give Philly and Orlando fits night in and night out.

The team fits together nicely, and we are fairly deep.

I know I improved this te greatly from what I started with, but this is not winning material due to the time I had.

Write-up:

The Kings are a team that traded away all of their 2nd round picks plus traded their first. They are not good enough to make the playoffs, have a ton of bad contracts (Landry, Thompson), no capspace, and not bad enough to get a high pick.
I gained a ton of picks, had capspace in every offseason, will have capspace next offseason again, removed all bad contracts, improved the team, and have a playoff team with Paul George.
Losing Thomas hurt but he got a 16mil per year contract, and I was unlucky with the draft not getting the high picks that I expected. I think I did still a solid job, but not one of my best.

Write Up

Before I start my write-up we all have to remember that this game is TWO YEARS into the future.

All in all we do believe we have assembled one of the best young ball clubs in the NBA and are ready to contend for a championship next year. We did this all by NOT tanking we made sure we got value for all our trades rather then trading players for scraps, and fielding a team of McDonald Employees. We ended up with 6 players who are expected to go in the top 15 in the 2014 NBA draft one of the strongest in history. If you go back a few weeks remember how difficult it was trading for a high selection in the 2014 draft, and I did it without mortgaging the present and the future. The Nuggets pre-hoffa were a treadmill team that were never going to make it past the first round, now we have on of the brightest futures. We are built for not 1, not 2, not 3, but 6-8 championships as we will have control of the young talent on this many for that many years to come...We may also end up with the number 1 pick in the 2016 draft as we do have the Knick first round pick unprotected.

A lot of the western conference power houses are getting older and it is now time for our Nuggets to take over the NBA. You just have to remember that are 2014 drafted rookies will now be in there 3rd year in the NBA, and Beal and Parsons are only going to get better, and Hibbert is still at his peak.

We do believe we have improved at every single position removing some unwanted contracts, and adding numerous All-Stars to the lineup (remember this is two years in the future so Yes numerous All-Stars)

PG: Marcus Smart/Tyler Ennis>>Ty Lawson/Aaron Brooks/Nate Robinson

We feel we have acquired a franchise PG in Marcus Smart who by all indications is the next Jason Kidd. Ty Lawson was good but he was never going to be a game changer, and we definitely believe Smart is a game changer. Coming into his third year in the league he will be a force to reckon with and will not only be in all-star consideration but Olympic consideration as well for the 2016 US team. Tyler Ennis maybe the best back-up PG in the league, definitely an upgrade to what we had before, he would actually be a starter on 90% of the teams in the league. We acknowledge that this tandem is young but that’s what we were going for. We will have many more years of control over the players and should they play up to expectations, they will be a key part of us winning numerous championships be key players on this roster. (remember Lebron and co. got recruited to play in China for 100 million dollars a year each)

Another key is we have the locked into rookie contracts and are not due for a payday until the end of next season (when we will have plenty of cap-flexibility)

SG: Bradley Beal/Gary Harris>>>>>Randy Foye/Evan Fournier/Quincy Miller

We may have started the game with the worst talent at the SG position. In Beal we definitely have an All-star talent (remember two years into the future) someone who can take over the game offensively. In Gary Harris we have another top talent from the 2014 draft who from all accounts was NBA ready when he came into the league two years ago. In 2016 he would be a starter on many teams but are lucky to have him come in off our bench. He is a very good shot creator and can also finish at the rim should he have to. He may be our best defender due to his quickness, and will be key in close late game situations.

Beal is a restricted free agent at year-end so we will have the right to match any offer and will have him for another 4-5 years. Harris is still on his rookie contract, and we will have plenty of cap flexibility to re-sign him when he is a restricted free agent

SF: Chandler Parsons/Dario Saric/Sam Dekker> Danillo Gallinari/Wilson Chandler

We started the game with an injured Gallinari who was not on a great deal. We were able to get great value by turning him and Lawson into Burke and Kawhai Leonard who were flipped for even better assets later in the game. As you can tell Gallanari did not hold much value in this game as evidenced by the little value other GMs received for him later in the game. Two years into the future we do believe Parsons will be an all-star he will be a player that scores 20-22PPG, and is a great team player. Though we may have over paid for him you have to remember he was only 26 when he became an Unrestricted free agent. Not being able to negotiate with his agent, we had to give our best offer so we would not lose such a young effective player for nothing. In Saric we have another top talent from the 2014 draft class, we are not sure how is game will translate in the NBA but only playing limited minutes of the bench it should not be too much of a liability.

Aaron Gordon/Doug McDermott> Kenneth Faried, Darell Arthur/Anthony Randoph/ Jan Vesely

Well this just comes down to your opinion on Gordon and McDermott. Faried is an okay player who was set to make the big bucks in restricted free agency. We did not feel he deserved the big bucks as he is not a game changer on an NBA championship contender. Gordon and McDermott are both highly touted prospects (top 10) in the 2014 draft and to have both of them, we are just blessed.

Roy Hibbert/Pero Antic> Tim Mozgov/JJ Hickson/Mcgee

Like Gallo McGee was injured to start the game and was on a pretty crap contract which made it difficult to get anything of value for him. We got ‘lucky’ in free agency and were able to sign Hibbert. We do kind of have buyer’s remorse on this one but we do need a veteran leader on this ball club and to have one of the best centres in the league as one cannot be considered a bad thing.

Also we may have another lotto pick as we do hold the 2016 New York Knicks first round pick (most likely a top 3 pick), to add to our roster next year.

Write-Up:

Some magical things happened in Houston these past two years, where we took a bona fide superstar scorer unhappy with his team of a disgruntled star center and role players galore, and abided by his wishes. Not only do we still have that superstar, who happens to be just 26 at this time, but also the best power forward and a top 5 point guard, all under 30.

Combine that with 2 solid role players to round out the starting 5, and essentially bringing another starting 5 off the bench, and you get a great team.

We may not have the same star power as they do in Los Angeles, but we have a legitimate 9 deep rotation of solid STARTERS, and another 3 solid bench pieces who don't even crack the rotation.

Youth, depth, shooting, defense, star power, they have it all in Houston.

Write-Up:

When I took over the Washington Wizards, they had 2 assets, and nothing else. After foolishly trading away both my assets, I decided to tank!

The tanking proved effective, as I received a very high lotto pick, and after ending up with 2 lottery picks I came away with 2 solid assets.

I almost immediately traded those assets and received an extremely valuable player in Kawhi Leonard. After a Sign and trade with Leonard, the signing and then trading of Thaddeus Young, and the earlier trade of Eric Bledsoe, I am left with a great young point guard, a great young offensive center, a great prospect at shooting guard, and 21 million dollars in cap space. Pair that with 10 1st round picks in 4 years and the Wizards future is bright!

CHARLOTTE BOBCATS
Image

Starting Roster:
PG: Kemba Walker .. Jannero Pargo .. Luke Ridnour
SG: Gerald Henderson .. Gary Neal .. Chris Douglas-Roberts
PF: Cody Zeller .. Josh McRoberts .. Anthony Tolliver
CT: Al Jefferson .. Bismack Biyombo .. Brendan Haywood
SF: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist .. Jeff Taylor .. D.J. White

In the end the Charlotte Bobcats were – Well – the Charlotte Bobcats -
an array of prospects and also rans on reasonable contracts that are not going anywhere.

At the 2014 seasons end – The Bobcats featured:
Kemba/Henderson / Marcus Morris or Anthony Bennett (with another year in the league) / Greg Monroe (or Zach) / and Derrick Favors. There was nice depth and balance throughout the roster and we were the 10th worst team in the league – No Respect.

Given that ranking – I blew it up – dealt Kemba and Favors for picks (3 lotto picks). Bad deal for talent, but again – it’s Charlotte! No better – No worse than where we started.

By Games end – The Bobcats roster was:
PG: Jose Calderon .. Patty Mills .. Jerryd Bayless
SG: Gerald Henderson .. Rodney Stuckey .. Will Barton
SF: Harrison Barnes .. Anthony Bennett .. Al Farouq Aminu
PF: Ryan Kelly .. Derrick Williams .. Ed Davis
Ct: Robin Lopez .. # 6 Pick .. Meyers Leonard

Overall – I enjoyed dealing with most of the GMs in the game. I like to gather opinions of others about teams & players and find the worldwide interests that are part of this game to be an amazing phenomenon. I do think the game has deteriorated in the lack of monitoring deals and updating rosters, but that seems to be what the leadership wants. I am also against all the editorial opinions being posted in discussion and trade threads. We all share opinions in our dealing with other GMs as trades go down, but it’s not necessary or enlightening to impose your thoughts on all the GMs. Those who don’t share my concerns in this will continue to post and impose their wishes on the game. I remember when the discussion thread was about who you had – what you were trying to accomplish and what assets were available to others to get there. It has become much more self aggrandizing in recent games as have the number of GMs who don’t make it to the end. Maybe there’s a correlation.

Again, I appreciate the efforts of those who step up and run the game – FA – Draft – etc and have enjoyed my dealings with you guys – whether we got out deals done or not. Never felt bad about the outcomes.

Write-up:
Over 2 years I turned this unbalanced lottery team into something special. I upgraded every position, this team will be fun to watch and I will just sit back and watch this team win title after title. We picked up Jabari Parker aka Paul Pierce Jr with the 3rd pick in the 2014 Draft. We wanted Wiggins or Embiid but NOW I wouldn't trade him for anyone outside of Durant and Davis. He will develop into a superstar. We received Bledsoe and McLemore in trades and I can say W/O a doubt that we have a Top 5 back-court in the league locked up. DJ will be a DPOY candidate for the next decade. Tremendous athleticism for a Center.

Overall, I think I did great for a rookie and this is a very fun game. I think I set up this team for the future to not only win but to butts in the seats in the TD Bank Garden.
Handsome.

Write up: I was really liking how this team was going with Conley, Z-Bo and Gasol with Monta Ellis and Danny Granger. I then had to step out of the game for a bit due to family and I lost zbo in the FA. Next I was looking for a SF and PF due to Granger going as well. I acquired some young talent in Jones and Butler. Then my team got to this. Obviously I would have loved to resign Ellis but I couldn't and I now have this roster. We have a young stud in Monroe who I think by this time should be a star. We also have a nice cast of good-great starters but again I am lacking spacing, a problem I have had for the whole game. I think I have the best bench in the game with all bench players apart from Murphy being able to be starters on a team. I have turned the Nets around and all the need is to consolidate a bit of talent and they win a championship! Can't wait for next game.

Luis Scola - 4,508,504 / 4,868,499 / UFA
Ian Mahinmi – 4,000,000 / 4,000,000 / 4,000,000 / UFA
Alonzo Gee - 3,250,000 / 3,000,000 / UFA
MarShon Brooks - 1,210,080 / UFA
Andrew Bynum - 1,000,000 / UFA
Ishmael Smith - 951,463 / 992,435 / UFA
P.J. Tucker - 884,293 / 1,148,163 /
Jannero Pargo - 884,293 / UFA
Jeff Taylor - 788,872 / 915,243 / 1,144,054

So you can see I had John Wall, Big Al and nothing. So the first step was to clear out salaries and add draft picks which I did. I also brought in quality expirings and so Wall was able to lead a rebuilding team to the playoffs in year 1. We also went into the famed 2014 draft with 3 1st round picks, 2 of them lotto picks.

I made the very difficult decision then to deal Wall in a deal that landed me the first overall pick in the 2014 draft plus even more cap space. I choose Embiid and then wheeled and dealed my other 3 first rounders into Rodney Hood and future picks. I shopped smartly in FA after missing out on landing any stars and then dealt those players for upgrades.

Jeff Teague/Kemba Walker/Dennis Shroder/
Aaron Afflalo/Russ Smith/Wayne Ellington
Rodney Hood/Thanassis Antetokounmpo
Derrick Favors/Mirza Teletovic/Andrew Nicholson
Joel Embiid/Brandon Wright/Jordan Hill

Is the current roster. Teague is the starter at PG, but make no mistake Kemba is going to be a heavy minute 6th man. This is a very talented young core with only Afflalo signed to an above market contract and because I had been so good at staying under budget I was able to upgrade to him for nothing more than taking on a little salary. This is going to be an elite defensive team with great scorers in Kemba, Hood, and Russ Smith. Greek Freak Jr is going be AK-47 like in his versatility and Dennis Shroeder will be the starter sooner rather than later and certainly by the time Teague's deal runs out next year. We have a smart mix of veterans but even most of them are still quite young.

This is the team to beat in the East as soon as this year and certainly moving forward.

Mavericks

Mavs were a bit of a failure. I massively upgraded the team at every single position around Dirk 2 different ways and couldnt get more than a 6th seed in the West. My teams didnt have the starpower of LAL and Minny, but were the deepest team in the conference plus had the best PS performer in Dirk so we deserved a better seeding imo. And people clearly havent been watching Dirk and forgot what a playoff beast he has always been as we were blown out in the playoffs each year.

Year 1 had

Tyson Chandler/Nene
Dirk/Pau Gasol
Kevin Martin/Kyle Korver
Lance Stephenson/Tony Allen
Jose Calderon/Mario Chalmers/Devin Harris

so you can see what a stacked and tremendously deep team I had assembled. But props to the other West GM's who were able to pair a couple stars together.

I made some changes for year 2 upgrading my pg spot and starting to get younger. Still was a 6th seed and flamed out in the first round again.

But despite my belief that my team was better than rated in the game, I also made some pretty dumb moves and probably should have rebuilt rather than letting my love of Dirk try to build around him one last time. Several trades I would absolutely take back in retrospect. Definitely played like the rookie I am.

I moved Dirk on to give him a chance to win a ring, got back under the tax line, and built back up my supply of draft picks and have several young players in place while we search for the next Dirk.

Isaiah Thomas/Mario Chalmers
Tony Allen/Joe Johnson
Michael Beasley
Thomas Robinson/Luis Scola/B.Dublejevic
Kosta Koufos/Jason Thompson

Plus the 11th and 21st picks in the draft make up my current 12 man roster. This roster is back under the tax line and has less than $30M in committed salary next year along with 3 1sts in next years draft so the plan is to have one down year and then be right back in business next year with lots of youth, a few solid veterans and cap space to pursue a star or two.

WRITE-UP

- The Knicks began over the luxury tax, a bottom seed playoff team--if they were even one--and on the verge of losing their superstar player, Carmelo Anthony, to free agency. I wanted to move Melo, quick and easy. I wasn't ready to tear the Knicks down to the ground however, but rather, bring in another star to build around and retool around him and that star was Kevin Love. I tried my best to bring Kevin some help and to remain flexible for the 2014 free agent class. Well... things didn't go as planned during the summer. We lost Gay and after that point, we didn't feel like we were in a position financially to compete, especially with our lack of assets.

- So I moved Love back to Minnesota, to possibly get a ring there and in return I brought in a guy, I thought I was going to be able to build the Knicks around--Rubio. At that point, the rebuild was in full-throttle and I was determined to moved toxic contracts and players I didn't see apart of the Knicks future going forward and I replaced them with young players, with different potential levels, whom all were on their rookie scale contracts. When free agency began, Rubio was signed to an offer sheet, I felt he wasn't worth--at that time--and allowed him to move on in a S&T. And after failing to sign players such as Klay Thompson, Jimmy Butler, Kawhi Leonard and Kenneth Faried during the same off-season... I made a trade, that could be considered my free agent signing, when I dealt for Gordon Hayward. He's now a young vet, whose around the same age as my other players and a really nice foundational piece to my core.

- In conclusion, I went from being a team that was 3,000,000 over the luxury tax and a sinking ship, to being a team that's 12,000,000 below the salary cap and arguably, a fringe playoff team already, whose financially flexible for many years going forward and has a very bright future. We'll be a top team in the east in no time.

Well this was my first time doing this & I had a lot of fun. I will definitely do it next time & hopefully win next time.

I know I rubbed a lot of you the wrong way, because I questioned authority or whatever, but I liked working with all you guys. Hope all 30 teams are taken & at least like 25 of them stay next time.

Well these Suns have improved drastically since I took them over. I kept the core except for Bledsoe...with Dragic, Green, & Plumlee. I thought I made this team into a playoff team, but I GUESS NOT. Dragic & Stephenson are perfect together in the backcourt and Gay with his newfound style of play can really bring consistent scoring & leadership every night. With Thompson & Plumlee, they are double double machines every night without talking about Plumlee's above average defense. Collison is the perfect backup point with Randy Foye at the back up 2 bringing instant offense. Gerald Green is the killer off of the bench. He has shown what he can do & I got him for a bargain. Noah Vonleh is probably a top 7 pick & considered an above average rebounder & defender, which works well with the rest of the team. Then Dalembert & Mahinmi can just protect the paint while grabbing a few boards.

Not to mention my coach, Jeff Hornacek, who has been amazing this season with the "tanking" Suns in real life.

Thanks, guys.

We started off trying to compete and advanced in the playoffs to lose in the second round both years. Our core was getting older so in the end we decided to rebuild. We have lots of young talent to build around #1 pick, MCW, Giannis, Henson, Kanter, Batum, Shabazz, KCP, Eric Gordon (if he can stay healthy), plus we will have cap space in the offseason and 3 first rounders (including NOP which could be high). We have a bright future here in Detroit

PORTLAND TRAILBLAZERS
Image

Damian Lillard .. Jameer Nelson
Wesley Matthews .. Tim Hardaway Jr .. Glen Rice Jr.
Luol Deng .. KJ McDaniels .. Solomon Hill
Serge Ibaka .. Kelly Olynyk .. Dorrell Wright
Anderson Varejao .. Timofey Mosgov .. Joel Freeland

BIG PROPS TO KINGER95 -
I took over a Great Blazer team - made a few good FA signings
and in the 11th hour turned Bradley Beal into the Blazers Depth:
Wes Matthews, KJ McDaniels, Kelly Olynyk & Harrison Barnes

All Stars - All NBA Defensive Players -Big Heart guys - Great Chemistry -
This would be a Tremendous team with the Best Fans / Home Court in the NBA . . .
and the Richest Owner. But the Blazers never went on a Salary Binge.

Great Job Kinger!
