Post#1 » by Hawk Eye » Sun Jun 21, 2015 6:08 pm

Commissioner- PMOTT3

Co-Commissioner- Hopping4Wiggins

Trade Approval Comittee- PMOTT3, Hopping4Wiggins, Chuck Texas, and Blazer50

Coaching thread, hirings, and firings- MadNESS

GENERAL -
1. Have fun. It's a game and it’s meant to be enjoyable. This should be the golden rule of GMAT!

2. Respond to all emails within a reasonable amount of time. Please include a counter or reason if your answer is not yes, it's better for all parties if you make it clear how close or far off a trade is and where it stands. Think of it as a negotiation process more than just a yes/no situation.

3. Keep your Team Roster Page updated ASAP!!! As soon as your trade gets approved by PMOTT3, H4W, Chuck Texas, and Blazer50 then immediately update your roster page to reflect that trade.

4. Any issues you have pertaining specifically to the game itself should be addressed initially and primarily by email with myself. Please, please do not bring up issues out of the blue on the forum, they should be discussed in private via email and only brought to the forum if deemed appropriate to do so by the commissioner/mods. E-mail one of us if you have any questions, ranior.gmat [@] gmail.com or pmottGMAT [@] gmail.com

5. Do NOT make issues public in one of the game threads without first contacting one of the above people. Most of the drama can be prevented if we simply talk things out. This is redundant but important, games often get derailed by public outcry of unfairness, let's keep that from happening in this one.

GAME RULES-

1. Salary cap for the 2015-16 season is $75M, luxury tax line is $90M, hard cap which cannot be exceeded is $110M.

2. We will NOT be using the mini-amnesty in this game.

3. We will start with $3,000,000 cash this game, buyouts for just the value of contract.

4. Each team has the draft picks they have in the real world and you can trade picks through the 2021season. All picks maintain any real-world protection they already have. Any picks you trade without protection specified will be considered unprotected.

5. Free Agency is very tough. We all want the best free agents, but they can only choose one team. Please do not quit over this, bans are possible but honestly I shouldn't have to threaten you like children, just be respectful of the process and those volunteering their time so you guys can HAVE FUN (not complain about how the world is against you.) Also please do not post what a joke the free agency decisions are. As someone who has run free agency on more than one occasion I can assure it is very difficult.

6. We will be using the stretch provision in this game:

8. If a team has an amnesty-eligible player and that team has not already used amnesty in real life they may amnesty one player.

9. We will be using the Bi-Annual Exception in this game and we are going to say that every team has it available to use. The bi-annual exception is $2.077 million. It is exactly as it sounds; teams can use it every two years, for two-year deals with a 4.5 percent raise in the second year. So …

YEAR 1: $2.077 million

YEAR 2: $2,170 million

TRADING RULES-

1. All trades will be reviewed and approved by PMOTT, H4W, Chuck Texas, and Blazer50. They will make sure that they are legal and within the spirit of the game. If you see a deal that you don't think is legal or that you think is too one-sided, please EMAIL one of them immediately and they will review it.

2. You can only post one trade at a time! Once you post a trade, you must wait for it to be approved by one of the above people in order to post another trade. This is to help the flow of the game and make things run smoother.

3. Do NOT update your roster page immediately after posting a trade. You will not be allowed to update your roster page until your trade is approved. Once your trade is approved, then you can update your roster page.

4. All trades must follow the CBA rules as outlined in the Trade Thread. For more detailed guidance on CBA rules please see: http://www.cbafaq.com/salarycap.htm

5. Rosters must be updated AFTER trades have been approved. Please take the couple minutes to update your roster immediately after your trade has been confirmed in the trade approval thread.

COACHING RULES-

1. We will have head coaches in this game. Make sure to list them on your roster page. In order to hire a new coach you will send offers to MadNESS (cantmesswithness8 [@] yahoo.com) and he will have the policies in place in the Head Coaching thread.

2. We will not be using assistant coaches in this game or any other staff member. Only Head Coaches.

3. Head Coaches are eligible to be traded just like players and you may also fire a coach. In order to hire a new head coach, you will have to send coaching offers to Ness and he will have the policies in place in the Head Coaching thread.

RANKING RULES-

1. After the trading period ends, everyone will be required to send in their rankings. You will rank each team in the game from best to worst OR worst to best. Please send in your rankings to myself and email them to me. Don’t forget to specify the order of your rankings whether they are best to worst or worst to best.

2. Do NOT rank your own team(s).

PLAYOFF RULES-

There will be a 2015 / 2016 season playoffs. .

1. Each team will be given the opportunity to submit a “write up” and state why they should win their playoff series. You can state any strategies, advantages, or plans in your write up. Make sure that your write up is not long but also not too short.

2. The first team to get 5 votes will advance to the next round of the playoffs. All playoff rounds will be determined by the first person to get 5 votes. The finals will be the first to reach 7 votes.

ROSTER PAGE RULES-

1. Be sure to include a picture logo of your team(s) at the very top of your roser page.

2. You MUST include all of these headers on your roster page:

-GM (your username)
-E-Mail
-Coach
-Depth
-Salaries
-Draft Picks
-TPE's
-Cash
-Draft Rights Owned
-Trades
-Trade Block / Direction

3. Under your "trades" header, is where you list all of the approved trades that you have been a part of. This is so that the commissioner can check roster pages for accuracy.

4. Under your "Salaries" header, is where you need to include all of your players individual salaries as well as the total salary. Make sure you specify whether certain players have a player option, team option, or non-guaranteed contract. We will be using 2015-16 salaries.

**More regulations may be added as we think of them. We will make you aware of any significant/major changes or updates should we see fit to make them. Thanks to all of you for abiding by these rules to help this game run smoothly and be tons of fun.**

Subject to change.
