Strategy

Spoiler:

This is an exceedingly wealthy man's version of the 2004 Pistons, with no dominant individual scorer but a perfectly balanced starting 5 comprised of All-NBA talents. In place of the Wallaces we have a PF-C tandem of KG and Zo, who were both DPOY winners, All-NBA First Team members, and legit MVP candidates in the respective seasons. We've replaced a solid role player (Prince) with one of the best two-way wings of the last few seasons (Butler). DJ is a comparable scorer to Rip Hamilton, a better playmaker, and in another galaxy as a defender. And of course we have Billups, the leader of that Pistons team, in arguably his best individual season. We've got the total package offensively: post scorers, drivers, outside shooters, one-on-one scorers, screeners, and playmakers, all capable of giving you 25-30 on any given night and all accustomed to carrying the load individually as well as fitting into a team concept. Further bolstering our scoring power off the bench is Korver, one of the most lethal 3-point snipers of all time.

Our defense is absolutely filthy with KG and Zo locking down the interior while DJ and Butler can take your best wing scorer out of the game. Billups is our worst starting defender, and he's well above average with the size to guard both backcourt positions. We've also got an athletic and high-impact team defender in Outlaw who can also defend multiple positions effectively. Jones provides a nice dose of rim protection in limited minutes. Our combination of well-balanced scoring (everyone averaging between 18.6 and 23.9 ppg) and ridiculously good defense should take us far here.
