When considering KD I was inclined to pair him with a pre-peak, less expensive point guard. He was really good at that point and a lot cheaper. Westbrook isn't generally popular in these but the run he had with KD should help sell him.

I expected the Boston and Clipper cores to go higher, but there's a case for all who went before.

I considered the Clippers but I consider Boston's core to have a very weak #1 and think Jaylen Brown is overrated.

Sure, why not? Never made the all-NBA 1st team.

Was on the fence between him and Pierce with my pick. Both are bargains in terms of FGA.

One of the weaknesses of my approach is that I tend to value flexibility over all else. Sometimes there's nothing better than just having one REALLY GOOD option.

That said, there are still cores I considered with my first rounder available, so maybe it's all good.

Yeah you use the FGA of each player and the sum of FGA has to be <= 88

Ibaka has been selected as part of an OKC core.
