Here is a quick list of what you need in your writeup.

1. Specific years for each player on your team
2. Rotations and minutes for each player
3. Reasoning as to why your team will win and/or why people should vote for you.

Do not vote in this thread until both managers have submitted their writeups.

If writeups aren't posted within 24 hours, we will vote solely based on the players they have drafted (and any rotations they have posted on their roster page).

**First to 3 votes wins the championship**

We can hurt you in a number of ways on the offensive end, starting with Chuck either backing down or facing up. He's unstoppable around the rim, and an excellent passer who can punish the defense when it collapses on him. Chuck's gravity allows Tatum to function in his ideal role as a #2 option. Price knits everything together at the point, a dynamic off-the-dribble creator and finisher whose lethal shooting helps space the floor for the big guns. Parish will feed off the other stars for dumpoffs, transition layups, and midranger jumpers. Green, Parker, and Smart space the floor. Defensively, Chuck and Price are our weakest links, but the rest of the rotation ranges from above average to elite. In particular, the perimeter help instincts of Tatum, Green, and Smart make it harder to isolate favourable matchups, and there's strong rim protection at all times from Parish and Outlaw.

Matchup
- Defensive assignments will be straight up to start. Smart will also play a key role absorbing some minutes against KJ.
- With the exception of locking in Allen, our overarching defensive approach is to shrink the floor as much as possible to protect against drives from KJ and Worthy as well as Ness's two bigs. We have strong backline support from Parish and Outlaw, as well as several quality help defenders on the perimeter (Tatum, Green, Smart). Also, while Chuck is quite flawed defensively, he can cause some disruption with his quick hands (1.6 spg), especially if he doesn't have to stay attached to a shooter.
- We have a few advantages at the offensive end. Ness doesn't have a lead creator at the level of Chuck or Tatum, and we're getting a similar calibre of PG play from Price vs. KJ. Our shooting is also stronger across the roster between Price, Green, Parker, Tatum, and Smart, while Ness is running two non outside-shooters (KJ and Worthy) on the perimeter for large stretches.
- Ness has a stronger bench, but that's largely driven by Dudley playing 18 mpg and Worthy 30. Smart and Cooper are comparable, so the main difference is Walton vs. Outlaw, and Outlaw is still a good backup big even if Walton is obviously better. That should be balanced against us having two of the three best players with the supporting stars being at a similar level overall.

Good luck Ness.

PG: Kevin Johnson (36) | Michael Cooper (12)
SG: Ray Allen (36) | Michael Cooper (12)
SF: Jared Dudley (18) | James Worthy (30)
PF: Larry Nance (36) | Kevin Garnett (12)
Cc: Kevin Garnett (28) | Bill Walton (20)

07’-08’ Kevin Garnett - 13.9
DPLOY | All NBA 1 | All NBA D 1 | Champ | MVP 3

07’-08’ Ray Allen - 13.5 FGA
All Star | Champion | 40% 3’s

87’-88’ Michael Cooper - 7.9 FGA
All NBA D 1 | Champion | DPOY (6)

88’-89’ Kevin Johnson - 13.9 FGA
All NBA 2 | MIP | MVP (8) | 20/12/1.7

85’-86’ Bill Walton - 5.1 FGA
6MOTY | Champion

88’-89’ Larry Nance - 12.6 FGA
All Star | All NBA D1 | MVP (13) | 2.8 BPG

09’-10’ Jared Dudley - 6.0
6MOTY (11) | 46% 3’s | 3 & D Glue Guy

86’-87’ James Worthy - 14.7
All Star | Champion

Total: 87.6 | 88.0

Attack with a downhill point guard on offense with shooters on the wings and athletes for the bigs. We can space, we can run, we can half court when needed. We have multiple defensive anchors and the deepest bench in the draft. Champions everywhere. All stars everywhere. Basically if you don’t have accolades you ain’t on my team (other than Dudley). KG and Ray Allen fit perfectly. KJ is the key here. Nance is an ultra athlete. Coop, Worthy and Walton off the bench is just poetic. Pick your poison with this group.

Write up:

Good luck Fade.

Plan to push the pace against this team too. Parish is flats footed and can’t keep up with Nance nor KG. Chuck is a terrible defender. Tatum is average. Price cannot defend KJ ESPECIALLY in transition. We push the pace and make them all work. We run run run them into the ground. We have the depth to do it. I go 8 deep where as Fade is 7 as Bo is useless (at least that’s what I’m told every time I draft him). KJ will be able to get out in the open court and find the shooter (Allen and Dudley) and the rim runners (Worthy and Nance) and the spot up guys (Cooper and KG). Walton plays the high post when he’s in finding all the cutters. He’s perfect off the bench for this squad.

Defensively we match up well. Nance on Parish. KG slows down Chuck. Tatum will see some Dudley, some Worthy and some KG (when Chuck isn’t in). He will also get some doubles when we cheat off Bo.

Look how many champions are on this team. Look how many all NBA or All NBA D guys are on this team.

Ultimately the depth we have and the ability to push the pace and run this team rabid, is what advances us here.

I don't like how MadNess matches up here. While Nance KG combo is great against Barkley, Dudley is only ok against Tatum, and Allen/KJ can be exposed by Price. Worthy is a nice triumph card off the bench, but he'll make the offense more stagnated alongside Nance and KJ. Overall while Fade also has his issues, I feel better with his team in this matchup.

MadNESS bench is straight ridiculous while the starting lineup has less talent but I like the fit a bit more of KJ/Allen/Nance/KG than Tatum beside a post up PF, and Price with Barkley/Parish frontcourt is only ok on D. Vote MadNESS.

Once again, I really like the offensive synergy of MadNESS' team. The scoring/creation/playmaking of KJ & Allen combined with the offensive/defensive utility + spacing of Nance & KG propped up by a ridiculous bench of Walton & Worthy is just too good. I also think this is a bad matchup for Fade. While I agree that NESS has no answer for Tatum, Fade is losing a lot of offensive potency with Chuck being guarded by KG and Nance with even more backline help from Walton. Vote: MadNESS

Ness' depth is too great to be ignored, and I'm not sure there's much of a gap in the starters. Don't love KG at center, but Parish is not a guy to take full advantage.
