FYI Embiid is not eligible. He didn't play at least 41 games.

SGA (5 to 2) and Luka (11 to 5) have taken big jumps from the mid-season draft. Be interesting to see if anyone does a big slide. Then again, this thing seems awfully flat after Jokic so movement isn't a huge surprise.

Tbh I'm pretty sure they'll be top three in MVP behind Jokic. I think they both should have gone higher in the mid-season game.

I actually think the loss of Embiid hurts my spot. I’ll probably be okay but it’s not as desirable.

SGA is new-ish in these games, which may have contributed to him going 5 earlier.

From a talent perspective, Luka is probably top three as well. But his cost and struggles people have had building around him made me shy away. Ness has been hot lately, I'll be interested in what he does with him.

I'm guessing Butler wasn't one of the top guys you were referring to, so you're welcome.

The MVP isn't necessarily the best player, otherwise LeBron would have had north of 10 MVPs instead of 4. Plenty of factors come into play such as team success, games played, voter fatigue, strength of supporting cast (higher USG% equals more points), to name a few. That said, I think Jokic is the best player and will likely win the MVP.

My top 3 was Jokic > Giannis > Luka, in that order. In a vacuum, I think Luka is better than Giannis, but he's uber expensive at 23.6 FGA. I'd argue Giannis has become underrated. A couple of seasons ago he was considered the best player in the league ahead of Jokic. Can't realistically expect him to win every year. Lost to Boston in 7 games in 2022, but averaged 34-15-7 in that series. Got injured in game 1 of the playoffs last season. We know for a fact he can lead a team to a championship. He's unguardable 1-on-1, plus he's in his absolute prime at 29 years old averaging career highs in efficiency this season.

I did have some concerns that this game would end up being too similar to the previous one.

In this case though even though this pair existed in the previous game I didn't see any way I could pass on the Lebron/Steph pairing.

That's such an amazing pairing, even at an older age. They play off each other so well.

I figured my only way to get two of Tatum, Lebron, and Steph was to leave Tatum for LR. I figured he couldn't resist a Boston pairing.

He wasn’t, but I would have gone for him if you had taken one of said guys. Totally get the strategy.

Bizarre thing about these current season games is sometimes the perceived value of certain players drops during the draft via playoff performances.

Did not see the Kristaps pick coming. Fourth rounder last game.
