NBA Computer Software for Statistical Combinations?

Post#1 » by KidPistol » Wed Feb 24, 2016 8:06 pm

Is there a stats software (other than SAP) where I can find different statistical combinations like the NBA on ESPN facebook page.

For example, I would like to figure out how many games the Bulls win when Jimmy Butler scores 20+ in a game or 76ers games won in the past 3 years when they don't start their first round draft pick. I need a software where I can calculate various things like that.

Thanks!

I, too, was wondering in general what is the best source for NBA Statistical Analysis?

Both in terms of the data itself and what that data translates to a players fit on certain teams, trade value, talent level, etc.

If you exhaust what you can do at nba.com, https://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/ , nbawowy.com, nbamath.com and www.pbpstats.com then learn r and get data from some of the folks in this thread

Just open Python or R and do it yourself. Why do you need a 3rd party tool?
