With that Atl pick looking better, I'm thinking Singleton is a real possibility there - unless he blows up tomorrow night - and FlaSt is playing VCU, so they should go another round - nice Cinderella story for either FlaSt or the play-in team everyone poopood.

For the 2nd rounder - I really like Rick Jackson of Cuse. You could say he's somewhat of a duplicate of what Seraphin does and also a short center, but he's more of an all-around polished moose than a bull moose like Seraphin is. What he is - is basically a young Kurt Thomas (maybe a half inch shorter and a bit bulkier), imo - and you can always use a young Kurt Thomas. He shouldn't be there in the 2nd round, but he's been a late bloomer as far as getting his body in shape.

Solid article by Mike Prada on this year's draft: http://www.bulletsforever.com/2011/3/23 ... e-grunfeld

Basically, Ernie can't screw the pooch with this pick.

Interested to see how Justin Harper plays in the next rd under the bright lights. I wouldn't mind going with a 4 with range with our early second rd pick that could give us insurance should we decide to trade Blatche. Harper has range deeper than Blatche even though he's not a great rebounder.

Other canidates that may be there J. Johnson/Purdue , Benson/Oakland , Thonpkins from UGA. All of them will need to add muscle but could fill a need down the road.

BTW i still want 1 more pick. preferably 2nd rd that way we could reach for some guys and cut them if they disappoint.
Sit back and watch WALL WORK!! >:-)

I was about to post this same thing. We have moved into a tie for 2nd in the draft lotto race, and the kings are one game behind in 4th. I don't like our chances of catching up to Minnesota. They have less games left than we do, their schedule is harder, and KLove isn't making their next road trip because he is injured.

We need to lose at least one of our two games against Cleveland if we want to stay ahead of the Kings.

Yeah. that was a great article

Loved the close.

Luck no longer matters. The Wizards have to make the right decision. Ernie Grunfeld, you're on the clock.

Now that you mention this I actually like their chances of winning going forward, and no, I'm not joking.

I tell you who I like: Chandler Parsons. He's tall and an all around stat stuffer. Would not mind taking him with the ATL pick.

^^ I like him a lot, spaces out the floor then hes good at crashing the boards, i would compare him to a Landry Fields with better shooting touch, and preferably taller.

Btw, Derrick Williams is On right now against Duke.

defense is suspect and he will be more perimeter oriented in the pros...he screams of Jamison to me... do we really want to go back to Tweeners?

He is way more athletic then Twan

More of a Juwan Howard type.

A lot of Beasley's problem is mental. As far as I can tell Williams doesn't have that problem. Better shot selection would make a big difference with Beasley.

Beasley takes a lot of long 2s. I haven't seen Williams take any. He either shoots a 3 or attacks the basket.

But Williams isn't so athletic that he'll have an athletic advantage in the pros. He's fast and pretty quick, but doesn't seem to have the type of vertical athleticism to compensate for his lack of ideal height.

He had a short stretch of some early trouble where he was clearly bothered by the length of the Plumlee brothers. He's been spending more time on the perimeter as the first half has gone on and that's been really impressive.

5 threes in the first half plus some twisting, quick release finishes. Impressed with the versatility of his offensive game. But yeah, that screams "more athletic" Jamison.

Tonight hes showing he's perimeter game(at the half). i expect him to play more post in the second. but im very impressed with his jumper and speed , and athleticism , I hope we draft this guy.(like ive been saying all year.)

In my mind i would compare him to a David west(more athletic and kind of carmeloish)

hes just a more athletic Jamison.... and he isn't a true 3 or a 4...and his defense sucks (though i think it'll get better) but....we need a REAL 3 or a REAL 4/5
