Cam Whitmore with 15 points in 17 minutes against the Lakers (3-4 from 3).

If the Warriors can get anything out of Kuminga and Moody, they will be in good shape. As of now though, they really screwed up those three lottery picks.
Bickerstaff: who's up for kickball?!!
Ed Wood: Only if it's the no-pants variety.

I'm actually surprised there hasn't been more conversation about the Wiseman pick ending in disaster. That's the one that hurts cuz it means the injury riddled season before that was essentially for nothing. It's awesome that they recovered and were able to win another title, but that might be the biggest missed opportunity since Darko.

I was happy to see my draft pick Derrick Lively out-perform VW with a double-double to start the season

Totally balled-out and was instrumental in Boston completing the comeback against the Knicks, Knicks almost pulled-of an upset.

KO was on-fire last night for Philly hitting 5-6 3-pointers, great game

Re: NBA Games Discussion Thread - Part 5
Kelly Oubre was definitely on fire. He was the reason the Sixers were able to be in a spot to beat the Bucks.
Dame Lillard, what a debut! 39 points and 17-17 from the FT line. Giannis not having to bring the ball up in the half court is going to make things so much better for the Bucks. And once Middleton is ramped up, that's now their second closer. I'm excited to watch Milwaukee.
Jordan Goodwin played pretty well in the first half last night for the SUns. Kevin Harlan, Reggie Miller, and Candace Parker were lavishing praise on Goodwin on the TNT telecast.
Lakers needing LeBron to play the whole 4th quarter to beat a Phoenix team without Beal and Booker isn't a good look IMO.

Including Goodie in the Beal trade was imo the single biggest fail of the offeaeason for the new FO. Inexcusable.

Yeah, didn’t like that ^ either.
Beal turning the screw on the way out, because apparently (do I have this right?) the NTC gave him power to reject a trade that wasn’t to his exact liking (with “exact liking” being defined all the way down to the role players who were in the mix).
Can’t really blame the new FO for this.
But you can blame Beal (I think) for being petty and vindictive and just plain AAU-ish.
I don’t want to keep beating the horse. It’s mostly dead. He was a good kid, we liked him. He never became great. He never had that gear in him. He did improve his game — his handles and his ability to drive. That was wonderful. But then his 3 ball fell off a cliff. And his D disappeared. And the pouting. He should’ve been traded when Wall was — a fresh start. That would have been better for him and for the franchise. Too much got put on him, and he didn’t — couldn’t — deliver.

I can't believe he was available for the vet minimum. He could have really helped a bunch of teams.

And Kwame was only a couple of years before that continuing a tradition all the way back to LaRue Martin of near 7 foot and athletic but never good.

Agreed. Why couldn't we have given them JD who looks about the same as he did last year so far.
Yes it's early but Marv Albert would still be waiting to use his signature phrase, showing some signs,
when describing JD's impact.
On another subj, I feel a little better about what BOS did to us (not much, a little)
after seeing this morning that they dropped 155 on IND and beat them by 51 pts.
