This has nothing to do with Ernie. We weren't getting any of these guys that have signed or been traded to other teams, so it's completely pointless/moot/waste of pixels to even bring up Ernie in any of this.

RAF - I don't think Ji means in this particular trade/offseason but rather his lack of creativity and vision that could potentially lead to deals like this in the future.

According to Darren Rovell, he's leaving $9 mil on the table, not $30 mil as it's been reported. I'm sure Dwight can make some of that up in endorsements.

The maximum contract Houston can offer without doing a S&T is 4 years for 88 million. The contract LA offered Dwight was 5 years for 118 million.

Also, I'd wager LA offers Dwight far more opportunities to make money in endorsements than Houston would. Even when you factor in Texas state income taxes, Dwight is going to have to walk away from an immense amount of money and an extra year unless LA agrees to a S&T. He'd be the first to ever do it.
