But hey. KD to DC started as pointless speculation at one point. Now its confirmed to be part of the plan. As is Paul returning.

Wizards officials encouraged by conversation with Paul Pierce tonight. Pierce, family have grown fond of DC and Pierce's role with team.

6.6 mill i pretty hard to give up at the end of your career, Even for a guy who has made as much money as PP. I hope we pull some slick and impressive moves here that might impress PP. Plus im sure he is very happy with a team that has only had him for 1 year would be so devoted to him, even though he is clearly not part of the long term plans of the team. The wizards are showing respect and class here.

This offseason is Paul Pierce's legacy.

His playoff excellence (thanks to Otto's production as well), finally convinced the Wizards brass to spread the floor.

I believe the Wizards will benefit from this evolution.

Pierce won't be here, but his impact will be felt.
