And I certainly can't see Brown -- too risky for the 3d pick. Imagine what we'd be saying if they'd picked Kris Dunn, Henry Ellenson and Brice Johnson in R1!!

Indy got Young for the 20th; we got Kieff for a top-9 protected?? Then again, Sacramento got a R1 pick for Marco Bellinelli !! -- holy moly!

The Orlando FO has lost its mind altogether.

After the draft we signed Sheldon Mclellan (could work out) and 2 guy who have no chance to play in the league. The Warriors signed Robert Carter -- who knows whether he can play, but wouldn't he have been sensible for us?

Two guys I pointed to as sleepers (Georgios and Maker) in R2 went in the middle of R1. Really, I don't know what to make of this draft. Nothing coming out of it to help us.

Yup, with all the extra picks they had, I was surprised Boston didn't make at least one 2 for 1 or 3 for 1 trade. I guess they're planning now on stashing a couple of their picks in Europe. The Celtics have a bunch of good solid assets, but they don't seem to be able to get that one shining piece to lead them to some post-season success.

They're stocking assets and lying in wait for some superstars to get tired of their situations and force trades. It worked once before.

Might as well somehow get Cousins and Calipari too and then change us to the Washington Wildcats.

When Bledsoe did play last season, he played at a level probably higher than Beal's potential.

Indeed.

Bledsoe was MUCH better than Beal when healthy. The only reason for you to graciously throw in that "probably" modifier was to account for the unlikely possibility that Beal makes a radical improvement from his current level.

I don't understand Bledsoe for Beal, which won't happen so it's just hypothetical. Isn't Bledsoe 6-1 and a combo guard? He may put up better numbers (in 31 games) but you're going from a 6-5 two guard to a 6-1 guard and asking Wall to defend more 2's?

The Wizards are said to be willing to offer Noah, coming off shoulder surgery that KO’d him in January, a full maximum contract. His deal would start at $28 million and reach around $120 million over four seasons.

:o  :( :nonono: :banghead:

$28 million!!! What the entire f*ck? This can't be true. Maybe its a ploy by the agent because everyone knows Grunfeld is stupid enough to do that but that would be almost all their cap room. They likely wouldn't even have enough to bring over Satoransky!

There is no way... I mean, I'm all about a 1-2 year prove it deal (I.e. 12-15M per for 1+1). But this is just... Crazy. Half that amount (4/60M) is an overpay...

Yeah, right...

EG's crazy but not THAT crazy.

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

The people that think this could be a good, OK, or even simply not disastrous move, post now, so we can compare with PTSD posts.

Noah is overrated and washed up. He was nothing special to begin with but to offer him 28 million a year. Ernie is out his mind!

Noah is an extremely good player, of that there is no doubt. But giving him the full max, a $120m deal, at 31 and coming off an injury...? That is totally crazy.

I think Ernie has really lost touch with NBA reality. He's going to put this team right in Nets territory. Yet, if Ted allows him to make this kind of move after the long list of horrible moves he's already made, then it's really on Ted.

How can anybody -- any GM or owner -- look at the way teams are being built and rebuilt these days and imagine a positive result from a move like this? We may be witnessing the complete destruction of the Wizards franchise.

I'm having a really sick feeling....
