Leonsis buys out Artest. If the Wizards get a top 3 pick, the pick because a 2013 unprotected pick.
It really comes down to Pau for Young, Blatche, and a first. That is a steal. If the Wizards add Pau they really just need to sign one FA SG. They could get lucky and draft a good SG in round two as well.
Seems to me the Lakers are really desperate right now. They know they probably won't win it all this season. Maybe they want to rebuild and could use a draft pick. Washington has enough young players. What Washington needs is a solid veteran. Pau is much better than McRoberts, who I do like. This gives the Wizards a legit chance to compete soon.
Aaagh! No more trades for 30 plus year old players that include our 2012 or 2013 draft pick. Wall is 21. By the time this team is any good, Pau will be past his prime and we will wish we had just kept the draft pick. I like Pau. A lot. He just isn't a good fit for a team that needs at least one more really good draft pick before they start adding veterans.

How about Andray Blatche and Chris Singleton for Odom?
Dallas has a history of making lemonade out of Wizard lemons. Blatche could be great next to Dirk and he has already played with Brendan. Washington could use the extra roster spot to sign Gerald Green, Edwin Ubiles, or Morris Almond from the D-League.
Odom is in a funk but I think being asked to take a leadership role around young guys would jump start him. Odom is the perfect SF/PF for this team. He can run, rebound, and make shots in the paint. Wall is playing his best and would be the type guard to really make Odom look good.
I don't think reality TV/Kardashian Odom, who goes in a funk when he is traded out of LA, to a really good team in a major market, is the best fit to help mentor our young guys. I also don't want us adding vets until we have secured our lotto pick for this year.
