Not to mention Curry was 21 years old when he entered the draft, not 23. Also racked up steals, assists, rebounds, and averaged an absurd 34.0 points per 40 in his final year.

I was looking at their final seasons. Curry has 11.9 3PA's/100 to Tominaga's 9.5. Not THAT big of a difference.
But I see now that my post may have come across as if I actually thought Tominaga could conceivably approach Curry's impact. I don't think that all. The size, defense and passing is too big of a gap to overcome. And as you say, even the shooting isn't quite up to Curry's level. But he is a fun college player who makes good highlights.
