How-far do you think Vesely would have dropped had we not reached at 6 for him?

I have no idea, I would hope my other team Bobcats would grab him (if not at 7 then at 9). Detroit is a mess they go for any position I guess. Who would you expect Wiz should take instead if TOP 5 went the same? Kawhi?

I won't stop to be bobcats fan though especially after this draft. 3 or 4 games per season I can stand to be conflicted.)

Hey congrats for the countryman getting the love in the draft and welcome to the boards!

So is it true that Czech girls are like totally hot?

Listening to David Aldridge and Steve Smith's instant analysis, and you just can't make this stuff up:

DA: "He plays hard". "

"The Wizards have some young guys with questionable work ethic, but this guys's gonna give it to you every night."

SS: "This guy is the perfect fit." "He really packs the rim"

I tell you what, I don't know if we got a draft pick or a porn star. Jan Vesely aka "Dirk Diggler part deux"
Bye bye Beal.

I'll be following the Cats, they had one of the best drafts of the night, love the moves they made.

Hmm... I was feeling fairly good about this pick, until it hit me.

What makes this guy different from a young Birdman?

Someone please tell me, so that I don't feel depressed.

Not a big fan of the pick. He just doesn't do enough besides run and dunk, but I guess he compliments Wall on the fastbreak pretty well. I'm happy we nailed our other two picks.

That's fine for now but...

If down the line his basketball career goes south and his investments go bellyup and his sexy blonde girlfriend drains what's left of his bank account one night and then runs off with a band of traveling rodeo clowns and he's forced to support his new dope habit by making a living renting out his last big ol asset in gay porn, we could go with...The Czech is in the "male".
To be a Wizards fan
1. You are either a semi-commited part time fan who says meh after a loss.
2. or you have a traumatic brain injury and watch the games without understanding them.
3. or you are willing to annually have your dreams torn from your soul.

As long as he doesn't earn the nickname The Self Czech, I'll be fine.

This video gave me goosebumps. Kinda makes you feel like we may have something here!

(Pretty sure they never chanted Pecherov's name like that)

One thing I'll say is that the kid has swag! Did nobody else catch his comment about Blake Griffin???? He said "Blake Griffin is the American Jan Vesely"! I can't believe nobody mentioned that on the telecast! I think people must have missed it due to his accent, but I thought it was great. The guy has a ton of swag and will approach the game like a starter from day 1, guaranteed.

Im going to try to be open minded about the Vesely pick. My overall frustration stems from the fact that I desperately wanted to trade up for Kanter, but that wasn't availble. Then I'm frustrated because this draft just sucks for high end talent. Lastly I'm frustrated that Saunders says he reminds him of KG (minor quibble). My frustration doesn't really come because his skills or lack thereof.

One thing to consider is that all the picks made after the Wiz all have serious flaws. I'm not killing myself because the Wiz passed on a surefire prospect. The whole situation is suck, but I'm willing to give him a shot after having a chance to evaluate the Wizards plight. Considered by many to be the most athletic player in the draft has to count for something, I guess.

Yeah, mostly just mad we got shafted with the sixth pick. Not two years after getting shafted with the fifth pick after having the worst record. I hope getting Wall makes up for it.
