Re: Nene
Shutting down Nene would be the prudent thing to do, but do you honestly think Grunfeld will pull the trigger? Of course not.

Surprise!
Not at all. I didn't expect him to play tonight.
I wasn't expecting him to plays again until about the Fri, Dec 7 ATL game but it sounds like he will.
He needs to practice and get in shape. No need to play him in games they are going to lose anyway.

“He didn’t get hurt.”
Nene didn’t aggravate the plantar fasciitis in his left foot while scoring 19 points against Charlotte, but he was noticeably fatigued late in the game. At one point in the second overtime, Nene hunched over, gasping for air and grabbing his knees as his teammates patted him on the back to keep him going. Playing so many minutes in just his second game back wasn’t part of the plan.
“It wasn’t, but sometimes you need just take the momentum and go, man,” Nene said after the Bobcats game.

Oh I agree -- this front office is all about saving face. They'd hurt their product if it meant a better PR treatment.

hands11, I know brevity isn't one of your strenghts, but I'll leave you with this.
Perhaps you can figure it out.
Edit:
Btw hands11, the heading of the blog entry you posted Nene rests Sunday but expected to play against San Antonio.
Lol, you can't make this **** up.

Please share your amazing insights. Sounds like what they said. He was fatigued from being out of shape.
Yeah. You can't make it up. It say expected, not that he will. Websters brother. Different words have different meanings. This is stupid. We will know when we know. Right now we don't.

Dude, you must be related to Ernie or Ted. You just take every news or move that comes out of this organization as gospel. Some of us have a reason to not believe in the leadership of this organization, so forgive us for not being as overly optimistic as you are. I proposed a trade form Nene to SAC where we get Cousins. We need to make that trade to save this franchise from mediocrity for the foreseeable future.

Re: Nene
Wrong I don't take everything a gospel. But I also don't read a conservancy into everything either.
I personally never expected him to play tonight anyway. I would say the taking as Gospel was believing any statement that he might.
He says he has a sore quad from playing the last two games. I'm not shocked. He hasn't played in a while. They should let him rest and ramp him up over the next week or two.
Which the tough schedule ahead, right after last game I posted that they should rest him until the ATL game. Nene helps a tone but not enough that they should rush him back. They should time his return closer to the return of Wall.

Re: Nene
Nene should request a trade, he deserves better than to be on this crappy team. He's the only player with a good basketball IQ on this entire team.

Don't be hopeless, guys. Don't be sad.
Be hopeful, wise; things have barely started to get bad.

Ah, life's simple pleasures. A friendly smile, a familiar smell, a hearty laugh, Nene practicing.
