Insanity.

OMG performance. I had no idea he'd be this good.

I mean, the guy is even better than Ricky Rubio! It's quite remarkable.

The display he put on there at such a young age was just incredible to me.

Yup. He looked like a young Jeff Ruland - one of my all-time favorite players.

Trade Idea:

Wiz trade lotto pick (with oppurtunity to draft Smart) to Jazz for GSW pick (in the late teens).

Jazz save a couple of rookie years on a contract (important in this day and age with the CBA), and get Smart to pair with Favors and a resigned Milsapp.

But would you put receiving a good samaritan return of absolutely nothing in exchange for giving a lotto pick past EG?

Mike Miller and Randy Foye for a year vs nothing was pretty close to a push. EG has a demonstrated his tendency to give and not receive in the past.
Bye bye Beal.

Could somebody please explain what this (+/-) means in a box score and how it's determined whether a player is in the negative or positive? Lot of times I'll see a player with a very nice stat line with a minus symbol in that column.

Chandler Parsons shot 12/13 from the floor including 6/7 from the 3-point line and totaled 32 points. His eFG% on the night was 115%.

The +/- refers to the amount of points gained or lost when the player was on the floor. For instance, looking at tonight's Wizard's game, Okafor has a +11. This means when he was on the floor, the Wizards score 11 more points than Philly. When Vesely (-6) was on the floor, the Wizards score 6 less points than did Philly. This stat is intended to help us get a sense of how good the player is as a team player, meaning, over time, are they doing the little things that don't show up in the stat sheet to win. This doesn't always work though, because its affected by common starting line ups (meaning if you always play with scrubs on the second team on Charlotte, for instance, you might always have a "-" next to your name even if you're a great glue guy).

+/- Definitely has it's flaws but it speaks volumes for a guy like Kevin Seraphin.

Another thing that can be misleading: If player "J" shoots 0-2 with 3 turnovers but is in the game while player "B" gets hot, player J's +/- will account for player B's hot shooting. With that said, I think generally, it's a pretty good indicator of the impact a player is having on the game.

 Ah-man, that's not right, we once had Michael Ruffin on our team and he certainly is no prince.

I disagree... but in his defense, it does look like he was going for the ball.

I think the Heat would be vulnerable to a team that has a post presence and doesn't turn the ball over. The Knicks with 'melo and the Pacers with Hibbert would probably beat them in a 7 game series. Heck, if by the grace of God we sneak into the 8th seed with a healthy Nene/Okafor we could take them to 6 or 7 as long as Wall cuts down on the TO's. I think that Heat team is seriously flawed and if Lebron wasn't a supertalent, they wouldn't be having any sort of success. Bosh's inability to play defense is a big surprise/disappointment for them I'm sure.

I like how the ABC logo acts as a fig leaf. Can we get a better shot of Ibaka's ball mishandling skills?

:( makes me angry that none of the 3 picks in that draft are half as good as Parsons and he was in the 2nd round
