A big-time three and another shooter in the Korver mold would make this potentially a very good team.

I don't care if he can play the 2 or 3. I'm more concerned with his ability to get to the rim. Does he have the ability to be an elite dribble penetrating wing player? There are a zillion wings who can create their own shot, but very few who really excel at taking it to the cup. Beal's a solid player, but if the Wiz take another high lotto wing I'd prefer him to be exceptional at getting to the rack.

Alex Poythress, maybe?

Len is the one Euro I really want EJ to draft (I did like Motiejunas, actually, but not lotto). I know Alex Len will never be a Wizard for that reason--I like his game.
Bye bye Beal.

Alex Poythress looks really good. He's explosive and can guard multiple positions.

The one thing that makes me happy, other than that if we're gonna suck, suck big time, is that as I mentioned back in July, the consensus top 5-10, for now, is loaded entirely with players of potential need for us. It's true that this looks like another draft where the top prospects are more good prospects, rather than transcendent franchise changers, but the positive is that the entire top 10 is composed of centers and forwards and considering we've got point guard and the 2 guard positions settled for sure, it's nice to know that as long as we don't go all in with stupidity in june, or take the wrong guy like '11, we should land another second tier quality player to build around.

That's something I'm taking solace in, for now.

Best Centers:
1. Noel
2. Zeller
3. Len
4. Adams

Best Power Forwards:
1. McAdoo
2. Austin

Best Small Forwards:
1. Muhammad
2.Poythress
3. Mitchell

I like to see Noel next to KS as a 4 and 5.
With Wall at the 1 and maybe JC or Beal at 2 and ?? at three...

no use talking about our 2nd round pick next year since we are drafting Vermilio Trunslesly from the Check republic and stashing him for 4 years

That's if ernie survives this disastrous season. Even he may not be able to skate away from this. He's been in charge of the rebuild for three consecutive offseasons of building, and one dumber than ---- quick fix disaster to save his own arse and/or produce some farcical competitive team for his ailing boss.

I see about 16 winnable games where we'd be favorites based upon our current play. Of course with Wall and Nene back those expectations could change, but stinking out loud early certainly helps our cause if we weant to tank. I now view it as more than reasonable that we'll be 1-15 or so when Wall gets back. Depending upon when we get him. Thag gives us only about 66 or so games with wall with zero to 1 or 2 wins in the bank. That should lock us in at at best 6th or 7th pre-lottery, with a good chance of top 3-5. We already know this team is god awful, and even in the best case scenario would never win squat as constituted so i have no issue stinking out loud for another season to hopefully land a second very good complimentary player in the front court, that would give us four pieces, and from there, we'd begin working the depth angle and free agency, and just hope that Wall, Beal, Seraphin, and a piece from this draft draft could be the base for a legit team. One can dream.

My objective for this season would be to end up in position to draft Zeller, Noel, Muhammad, Len, McAdoo, Poythress, or Tony Mitchell.

I honestly see a lot of guys who play positions of need and could really help this team (and our road ahead).

Muhammed, Noel, Zeller, even guys like Poythress and McAdoo would be solid pickups.

Why even hope for Muhammad when we know were going to get an unskilled Euro?

Has Zeller developed a mid range game yet?

If he has i'd take a look at him if we win the lotto. At worst i think he could be a wealthy man's Spencer Hawes, at best i think he could be a white LMA/Chris Webber/Chris Bosh type. He needs some muscle on that frame, but he is a smart guy i think he understands that, and i think he will fill out a bit.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Wow this dude got 138 points...

And 0 assists.

Impressive from an outward view. Everything that's wrong with basketball from a closer view.

Pretty sure Zeller has alligator arms. His wingspan is only 6'8'', not sure what his standing reach is but his brother had a medicore standing reach at 8' 8.5" with a 7' wingspan...

This team is in no position to draft based on positional need -- we need to draft the best basketball player.

But size matters in being the best basketball player at the center position...

I'm definitely going to track Polythress throughout the season, to see if he has any ability driving to the basket. Shabazz too obviously, but I'm fearful of his lack of work ethic.

Hopefully somebody rises to the top of this draft class, got nothing else to hope for.

not really impressed with Zeller or Shahbazz at this point. Shahbazz is another guy with a weird hitch in his shot but he is probably a better fit for us than Zeller. I like Noel too....gives us something we lack
