“He told me how he feel and I just respect that. If you want to be better, you have to listen to the veterans,” Seraphin said. “Me and Nene are the same type of player, so right now, he know what he’s talking about, he’s been 11 years in the league and I just try to listen to him. Keep telling him, ‘I will. I heard you.’ ”

No you aren't. If you were the same type of player you would get to the foul line more than once a week.

^ Yep, I was thinking the same thing. And if he truly believes that he is already playing "physical", then he could be farther away from improving that we thought.

Good teams are worried about who their 3rd scorer is, we don't even have
a 'first' scorer. Therein lies a huge part of our problem. Thanks Ernie.

EG has constantly over-reacted to the weaknesses of the team as
currently constructed. The Gil/Caron/AJ team was justifiably criticized
for lack of defensive accumen and to a lessor extent, lack of athleticism.
So he started drafted for upside and defense. Now we have a bunch
of 'maybe if player X developed skill A, B or C' along with nobody who can
put the ball in the basket.

True or not, I have read many posts on this board that say that is the easiest thing to find. Actually, we already have such a player though we need another. What we need more then a scorer is a pure shooter.

Nene can score inside and hopefully he finds his mid range game again. He had it last year.
Wall can score on drives and fast breaks
Crawford can score on drives and stop and pops mid range

There are three people that can score on a nightly basis. What they need is someone who you can dish it out to who is going to hit a wide open J. Night in and night out. Not the streaky type like C Martin.

What they need is OJ May or Stephen Curry or Ray Allen, or Steve Novak.

Funny that R Lewis and Mike Miller are in the list of what they need and both play for Miami who one it all. And they have Ray Allen.

Maybe we can get Chris Copleland. Jose Calderon has come up many times on the board.

Crazy to read this list and see how many people on it were here or we could have had.
Rashard Lewis, Stephen Curry, Mike Miller, Brandon Knight, DeShawn Stevenson, Randy Foye, Caron Butler

What about a 3 ball shooting DL call up ?

I don't think that is what he is saying. He knows he doesn't play as physical as Nene and that he doesn't draw fouls. That is what the article was about. Nene gave him an earful.

I read they have been working with him on this for a few weeks now. We have seen him try to do it more in games but its not looking very smooth so far. He ran right over someone last game which I am fine with. Actually I wrote that I was fine if that's what happens while he figures it out. Just go for it. If you run someone over, more power to them if they have the guts to stand in front of a rolling tank. Kevin is a truck so that would have to hurt.

I expect we will see him make a move to the basket tonight as well. Probably even a pump fake. Hopefully a dunk.

Not sure what his mental block has been. With his build, he should be able to carve out position pretty easy. Kid needs to learn how to use that oversided backside to knock people out of position. Then just dunk it. And where is the drop step. He already knows how to set a player up for the hook. Same thing, then just drop step them and dunk.

Wall has been disregarded and people are itching to call him a bust (normally fools on the General Board), but I'm a Knicks and I think Wall has Gary Payton type potential...I hope to see him come back as a defense phenom, physically has all the tools to be a defensive specialist.

With Okafor and Nene in the inside you have two veterans who know how to play, not all stars but can really give you consistency and good awareness. Ariza's comeback would be big for Washington since they need an intangibles guy.

The rest relies on Beal, is he capable of giving the team 20 points a night? Nene can score the ball well, but never been a high frequency scorer. Wizards need that go to scorer, don't think you want Jordan Crawford leading the offense.

Wizard fans, let me know who do you see as the guy to be the primary scorer for Washington, a legit 20-23 ppg guy, because in today's NBA that what it takes to get a winning team going unless you're deep like the Spurs.
