Ollie's got the resume, and he fits the profile of what I like in managers and coaches - being a former player who had very little physical talent - so he had to be smarter and work harder than others to make his team. And he was a PG. Plus, I recall him being praised by folks like Jason Kidd back in his playing days as someone who was appreciated as a teammate for doing things the right way.

Good article from Paul Silas, Big Z, Newble on that 2003-2004 Cavs team that Ollie was on, which was also LeBron's rookie season. Lots of praise there.

LeBron also showing a lot of to him online.

KD was saying the same things about he cultivated the winning culture in OKC... Jeff Green also said the same things.

Why would Ollie leave UCONN? He loves it there and he just won a national championship.

Some folks like the challenge of competing at the highest level. :D

Just based off what I seen in the tourney, specifically the way UCONN played disciplined defense and from his work with Shabazz Napier, I'd hire Ollie in a heartbeat and give him a 5 yr deal.

That team would be immediate contenders IMO
Just straight up nasty defense as always with Melo and Rose driving and kicking. Just nasty.

They won 50 games this year, what would they win with Melo and Rose back? 55?

2010 CHI won 62
2009 CLE won 61

The pipedream becomes less pipedreamy by the day.

What if Memphis knocks out OKC, and we reach the ECFs?

My steps to getting Durant:
A) DC develops into a destination city (check)
B) Wall pubicly campaigns for Durant to Washington (check)
C) Washington demonstrates itself as a player in postseason play (check pending)
D) OKC struggles in postseason (check pending)
E) Washington maintains cap flex to chase Durant.
F) Wall/Beal develop into best backcourt in the country.
G) Washington signs/trades for/drafts a rim protecting center or PF.

I'm just saying thus far this postseason, we are on schedule.

I think we can do that by picking up Jordan Bachynsky (sp?). He's a very late bloomer (24) who doesn't pass the eye test yet, but he's a 7'2 shot-blocker who actually moves pretty well. Because of the negatives, he might not get drafted, but put him in a good weight program - add 20 lbs of muscle, and you'll have something good just in time for Durant - at least as a guy who can share the center position.

I thought you wanted to resign Gortat and Ariza? If that happens they won't have any capspace for Durant.

I'm rooting for Memphis to beat OKC again in the playoffs

KD losing in the postseason helps our chances.

It doesn't matter. If Gortat and Ariza are resigned, there is no money for KD.
