And Young and Djeng up front - that's superfast. And they're pesky enough to create a lot turnovers. If they could shoot well enough to keep defenses honest, they'd be fun to watch and win... as opposed to what they've been for the last several years.

I know Taj Gibson is unhappy about coming off the bench.... boy I would sure love to get him in a Wizards uni... especially at the expense of a rival.

Suns took their time and negotiated a 5-year $70 deal for Bledsoe. If Ernie were the Suns GM they would have have maxed him early. Good deal for the Suns.

And only after signing him, they'd give him a physical and find his knee is messed up. Actually, there are questions about Bledsoe's knee - which I think is why other teams didn't appear to try hard to get him.

How funny is it that Cleveland gives up 3 players and 2 picks for Keith Bogans - even if the players and picks add up to very little.

IMO it's a terrible deal for the Suns. Bledsoe was really good... in 45 games last year. I seriously question if he can stay healthy. Considering they already had Isaiah Thomas as a safety net in case Bledsoe didn't re-sign, I saw no reason to buckle to Bledsoe's salary demands. The Suns had a no-lose situation by letting Bledsoe take the QO. If Bledsoe confirms he's a star, the Suns can still offer a 5 yr guarantee and far more money than anyone else can offer. If Bledsoe struggles or gets hurt, the Suns have successfully dodged a bullet on a long term deal and if they lose him to another team, so be it.

I don't understand the logic of why GMs continue to cave in to these ridiculous salary demands, even smart GMs.

What do you think would have been a fair salary for Bledsoe? Minny had a Max offer waiting for him.

And how has Jimmer Ferdette not stuck on with a team??

It's only one pre-season game, but the Jimmer and Luke Babbitt, (a former board fave) another did well yesterday. Let's see how those two hold-up.

No thoughts on the Faried contract? I was surprised by the 5th year. Perhaps a stats person can tell us if this was good value for his production.

His contract is basically in the range of what my salary formulas says he's worth -- $12-13 million last season. The last 3 years of the deal have a reasonably good chance of being a colossal bargain for Denver considering that the salary cap is going WAY up starting in 2016.

He's not unhappy, that was an offseason non-story.

So far in 3 preseason games, Steven Adams has totaled 56 points, 18 points, 6 blocks and 6 steals in 71 minutes of play as a starter. He shot 24/28 from the floor and 8/13 from the line.

That's an average of 28 points, 9 boards, 3 blocks and 3 steals per 36 minutes while shooting 86% from the floor and 61% from the line.

GMs are just getting played by the agents. The agents are professionals. The GMs are mostly ex-players with limited business experience who are spineless in negotiations.

12th Pick, right before Olynyk. Great value

Nash out for the year again with his back, he can hang-out with Webby.

Weird about Adams - he must play his absolute worst games whenever I watch him. He's clearly talented and puts up good stats, but he looks lost at both ends whenever I watch him.

Bedsoe looked real good the other night. If that knee holds up, Phoenix did not over-pay.

Wow, too bad for him. Especially for the rest of his life. If he can't even carry bags now...

It would be a tough way for a HOFer to go out, but at this point they have to trade his expiring contract for somebody that can help them.

Or just plan on being dreadful. I believe the Lakers pick is top 5 protected- otherwise it goes to Phoenix.

Last year he was injured getting out of bed. What next, he picks his nose and pulls a hamstring? Maybe once he retires and he doesn't have to get into game shape it could actually reduce stress on his body.

Agree with Kanyewest, tanking is probably their best approach now, if they can get a top 5 pick out of it, and people were slotting them pretty low even before this news.

Pelicans declined next year's option on Austin Rivers.
