Local Sports Talk Radio

Post#1 » by SUPERBALLMAN » Sat Mar 8, 2014 1:09 am

The Wise post got me thinking about the state of local sports talk radio... The Fan and 980.

They got a good lineup going between the 2 that gets me through the day.

In general the schedule I follow...

Before 9am Sports Reporters with Andy Pollin on 570.
9am Steve Szabin on 570.
10am Grant and Danny on The Fan.
12noon The Sportsfix on 980.
2pm The Locker Room on 980 with Jackson (used to do Bullets post game!), Doc and BMitch.
4pm The Drive with Cooley, Szabe & Al on 980.
7pm Fan for Wizards game!

On Saturdays when I work in the morning there's now some good baseball shows with Dugout with Thom Lavarro in 570, and Chin Music with Al Gauldi on 980. Would be nice to follow these with a Wizards/Local College Basketball show on saturday mornings!!

This is pretty much my current routine I've fallen into.. although I do flip back and forth sometimes depending on the subject or guest they have on... I'll see what's going on with Chad and Lavar in the pm and the Junks the morning.

In general the Redskins are way overdone, but there seems to be more Wizards talk lately. Also enjoy catching Gary Williams from time to time on 980.

Curious what you all think about the current state of sports talk radio here in DC...
