Where/When to buy playoff tickets?

Post#1 » by jeffsays » Fri Apr 4, 2014 3:53 pm

Does anyone know when tickets become available to the public for sale? Or when season ticket holders who get early access might put them up for resale?

I think season ticket holders will be putting up tickets as soon as we know
what dates the games are going to be played as well as who we will be playing.

I'm wondering what demand will be like. As I have posted before, re-sale for
certain marquee games was profitable. Re-sale for other games was a big loser.

If tickets are selling for a good premium, I could see unloading a pair of ticket
to at least one game each round. But I would want to be VERY careful about
selling to lets say, Heat fans for instance. Would NOT want to do that.

They should be available via TicketMaster PhoneCharge and all local Waxie Maxie's stores.

The first year Arenas got them into the playoffs, I just bought tickets for face value at the box office. Wonder how that will go this year?

NBA.com is a real boon for buyers as they can compare prices easily and know
the tickets are guaranteed. It really made me question my decision to renew.

I agree. I sold three games this month on the NBA game resale site, with the Chicago game going above FV. I am kind of hoping for the Wizards to match up with Chicago in the playoffs. Not only do I think we can beat the Bulls, but I will likely be able to sell one of my games for a nice profit.
