Hey, just noticed this claim. I recalled Moses Malone and Jamison having 20+ rebound games, so I checked:
Post-Unseld Bullets/Wizards 20+ RB games
Eleven Bullets/Wizards since Unseld have accomplished that feat eighteen times. Including Terry Catledge and James Singleton! Great game for Humphries, but not the only one since Unseld.

I didnt fact check it. Something Phil and Buck said during the game. But good catch.

Yes, they feed me some misinformation from time to time as well. They should never speak such heresies without first consulting their chief statistician (who I guess is responsible for endorsing heresies)

Well there you have it..

Most wins since 1978-79 when they won 54..... currently 46 with 2 games to go.

For perspective... Paul Pierce was 2 years old.

Ted has them moving in the right direction.

This is the best constructed team since those 70s team. Young core. No killer contracts. Cap room and picks moving forward.

Updated after Mont pointed out my mistake

That right.. 1976/77... For perspective... Paul Pierce was born that year.

Ted has them moving in the right direction.

Most wins since 1978-79 (when they were 54-28). 36 years.

hands is probably correct that this is the "best constructed" Wizards/Bullets team since the 1970s, but I think it's a textbook example of damning with faint praise. It's an old -- unnecessarily so. And it's very average. The team's current construction was costly in terms of player acquisition resources, and its path to be better in the future is reliant upon executives making good personnel decisions in the future. And the executives who will apparently be in charge of making those decisions haven't demonstrated anything resembling the kind of acumen needed to expect them to make a series of good personnel decisions.

So, yeah, it probably is the "best constructed" team for the franchise in 35-36 years. But that's really an indictment of both the franchise's sorry history of ineptitude and bungling, AND the current regime.
