So a small-ball Wizards team has stumbled upon success with Gortat and Hump removed from the rotation.

I don't know if I'd pin the stuggles on Gortat... Nene is certainly better defensively... but I think we've had some unusually great play from Gooden and Blair lately. Which is very timely. I still think Hump is better then Gooden whenever he gets back. We've also been the benefactors of some really good production out of role players in spurts. But I also think some teams aren't as good as their record may have indicated, namely the Magic, Pacers and Bulls. Things are maybe evening out? Big test tomorrow. Hopefully Porter is at least ready... not sure about Gortat but here is hoping all is well with his knee.

That was a heckuva win, an impressive win. We dominated them on the boards with the result that we got to take 98 shots to their (only) 80. Not to mention that we went 51-98, including 11 made threes, and that we got back 17 of our 47 missed shots via offensive rebounds.

Great games from all our guards except Temple who had an off night. Wall of course. Beal played like the guy we all want him to be. And Sessions -- can't say enough about the season he's having! And a great game from Blair as well. Nene was disruptive on defense, and so were Oubre and Temple for that matter.

4-game win streak w/ 3 of them on the road, and all those against teams w/ winning records. That's pretty good!

It's only January, but man, I feel like a win tonight would be huge for this Wizards team from a confidence perspective.

Not that they're necessarily lacking, they should feel good riding this streak having beaten quality opponents, but if they can beat the Celtics after getting embarrassed by them twice already, there should no longer be any lingering doubt about whether this group is a playoff team.

They've overcome a ton of adversity with all those man games lost, and it looks like they may emerge as a decent to good team.

High effort level in this game. The execution was suspect at times but the intensity never let up and Indy just didn't match it. On the season they are a terrible rebounding team yet they outrebounded Indy by 19.
