Strange game. It just seemed like somehow the Wizards ended up with a huge lead, but not like they did it in a dominating fashion. just sorta happened.

Sweet victory, especially after how the Cowboys choked last night.

We're getting to the point where teams are scared to play in DC. We just don't lose at home.

I'd say it's time to give Markieff his credit. He's played a lot better lately and has been instrumental in this recent turnaround

The bench went on a 17-0 run and Satoransky and Oubre balled out.

Record without Marcus Thornton: 5-1

Record with new Satoransky: 2-0

Record without scrub ass Trey Burke: coming soon

I was thinking the same thing. He does nothing on an elite level. Undersized, bad shooter, average handles, bad passing, doesn't protect the ball, undersized.

He's the epitome of a guy who doesn't have the NBA size for his skill set, and doesn't have the NBA skill set for his size.

If Glen Rice Jr were 6'8", he probably could've used his game as-is and become a legit NBA scorer. Problem is, he's was only 6'5" -- so while all those bully-ball moves worked in the D League, they simply don't work when everyone's taller, stronger, and faster. So, at 6'5", GRJR either needed to have his current game + explosive athleticism; or, he needed a different skillset (efficient, spot-up shooter). He had neither, so he's out of the league.

Burke's game will work just fine in a league with smaller, slower guards. He won't be a La Bomba-level star in the EuroLeague, but I think he could be an established starter.
Always remember, my friend: the world will change again. And you may have to come back through everywhere you've been.

Great win!

Sato & Sheldon should be the backups to Wall & Beal for now on. Only time Burke should be on the court is when Wall is on the court.

Even with his horrendous 6/21 performance vs Boston he is shooting just over 50% from the field and about 40% from three in the month of January. His rebounding has been a lot better this month as well.

Whatever chemistry issues Wall/Beal had in the past seem to be long gone now. They destroyed Dame and CJ.

Very encouraging game for KO and Tomas.

Kinda wished Sato nuked that guy on the dunk. He needed that. No more Thornton and Trey Bumkins please. Also wizards finally in the positive for pt differential.

I'm glad Sato played well. Let him sink or swim with 15-20 minutes

Giving Evan Turner all that money is about as a Grunfeldian move as I can think of.

He was outstanding today, and he's been pretty good of late. But I wouldn't go so far as to say he's been instrumental in the turnaround. The reasons for the turnaround are,

- We started playing much better defense
- Beal has played like an AS since he got back from his injury
- Wall has been a superstar since he got his legs under him at the beginning of December.

Yikes! I can't believe it!! I forgot that the game was this afternoon rather than this evening -- and missed the whole thing. Annoying!

Now I'm stuck w/ nothing but the box score.

That box score tells me Markieff Morris had his best game as a Wizard. And, it's true -- he has played better in January. His rebounding has still been below average this month, but it's been better. & he's turned 101 shots into 112 points. That's above average. If he keeps it up, that'll be good.

Great game from Beal, really good one from Oubre as well -- and a break out game from Satoransky. If he starts to play well consistently, that will be a big big help.

We haven't been 2 games over .500 in a long time. Feels good!
